My Mon had it when about 50, Dad told us it were lung cancer, when the infection Dr. said it was blastomyosis.
She was living in Lake of the Hills, McHenry County ILL.: right on the lake, many creatures around. She was in the hosp. 6 weeks they had to give her IV antibiotics. She died in 1986, not by blastomycosis. We moved up into the UP, as she said life is short.

Blastomycosis is an uncommon, but potentially serious fungal infection. It primarily affects the lungs, and is caused by the fungus Blastomyces dermatitidis. The signs and symptoms of illness that can result from exposure to this soil organism are variable.

Used to be my number one contender for Deep State follow up to the bio engineered SARS 2 Covid19 virus .

BTW, Blastomycosis is treatable with antifungal medicines, but it is important to get diagnosed early. Most people with blastomycosis will need treatment with prescription antifungal medication. Depending on the severity of the infection and the person’s immune status, the course of treatment can range from six months to one year.
