Boy begs Trump to help free mom from Egyptian jail...

Nonsense...
Well ... let's see what he does then. Ten dollars to a doughnut say he won't do diddly squat. Get your money ready.
What makes you think this case, is in any way similar to ASAP Rocky’s? We’re you under the impression that he was Swedish?

This situation is worse than ASAP Rocky's He was accused of a crime that would have been punishable by jail time even in the U.S. This woman is a U.S. citizen who bad-mouthed the Egyptian government on Facebook.
Ah-ha; but there’s the rub. This woman is a native born Egyptian citizen. While she may hold US citizenship as well, Egypt has a more viable claim to her than the US. Good riddance anyhow. Divided loyalty is worthless.

What about her living in the U.S. while bad-mouthing the Egyptian government screams "divided loyalty" to you?
The part where she retained her Egyptian citizenship...

A little scuffle on the street where no one is seriously hurt might mean a night in the local hoosegow at most in the United States. Certainly not an extended stay in a foreign dungeon.

ASAP Rocky was being abused because of the color of his skin.

The victim was taken to the hospital, and he only spent a month in jail for it. I'm not sure how he was being "abused".

"only a month" in jail??

This was nothing, and the video showed that the so-called victim was really responsible for escalating the event.

Yes, he was taken to the hospital, but he wasn't seriously injured at all. It wasn't like he was beaten into a coma, just roughed up a bit.

Nothing would have happened to Asap Rocky in America, perhaps a night in the pokey at most.

It shows nothing.
On its own, it shows nothing. But right after contacting Sweden several times saying first that ASAP Crocky should be released without charge and then saying that ASAP Crocky should be taken out of his cell and put into a hotel .... but now doing jack shit for that boy and his mother?
That proves COWARDICE.
Nonsense...

Who?

That just goes to show the bravery or cowardice of American politicians. Trump stuck his nose into internal Swedish affairs over the arrest ASAP Crocky but he's afraid to help the boy's mother in Egypt?

President Trump isn't afraid to do anything. In the case of the Tremendous crooner Asap Rocky, the facts were well known, it s was just a little scuffle and outstanding Americans like the Fantastic Kanye West and his beautiful old lady were advocating for him.

This will be looked at on a case by case basis.
By SWEDISH laws and standards, not by American ones.

I understand and agree with you but the subject is about interference in another country's laws. Trump barged in to try dictating what Sweden should with an American citizen who broke Swedish laws but is apparently silent (relatively speaking) about another American citizen who's broken Egyptian laws. There's the gap, and in fact a lopsided one too. No, you can not excuse this one.

Why would she go to that dangerous place? Doesn’t make any sense. Stay away from countries with Sharia Law if you’re a woman. When the WWE has shows in the KSA, their women do not compete. If wrestling companies understand this then everyone else should as well.

Fair enough. But the President was correct in lecturing the Swedish government about American standards and what our culture is about, particularly if they were ignorant of it.

The problem is that Egypt is enforcing Egyptian law, on an Egyptian citizen. Trumps got jack shit to say about it.

This is why US Citizens should not be leaving the USA. You don’t know what may happen.

That’s why I didn’t get off the cruise ship at either of our foreign stops when my wife and I took our cruise in July.
LOL! Do you have a job? You'd better get started digging a tunnel to it from home. You don't want to risk getting hit by a car or catching a cold.

We don't take kindly to public fights in Sweden. Now I know over in your neck of the woods it is acceptable to shoot off a few rounds at one another but we have laws against all kinds of violence.
ASAP Rocky was being abused because of the color of his skin.
Not really possible. Is that what the American news is telling you?

Yes, he was taken to the hospital, but he wasn't seriously injured at all. It wasn't like he was beaten into a coma, just roughed up a bit.

As I said, we have laws in Sweden about violence. In the U.S. ..... probably not. Does that make you proud or ashamed?

It says they detained her as soon as she entered the country, so she obviously made the Facebook posts while in the U.S. So they arrested a U.S. citizen for a "crime" she committed while in a country where what she posted wasn't a crime.

Neither. I'm just saying that the Swedes should consider hip hop culture and the fact that we have a different culture than they do, when they issue visas.

In any event, the Swedish Govt. had sense talked to them, and they released Asap Rocky

To be fair, Egypt is far more liberal than the Saudis. I actually doubt that Egypt follows Sharia Law.

Just in case you're half asleep, Trump has jack shit to say about Swedish law. You know? Sweden isn't in the U.S.

There's worse. Newly purchased hotels in Europe were bought by Hilton and when a Cuban delegate showed up (that had reservations) the hotel turned them away because of the American boycott.

Hilton is an America company bound to obey American law. delegates from the Cuban communist regime can go to foreign hotels if they like.
