BREAKING: unemployment rate falls to 4.7%

W lost jobs under his administration. Jobs have been added under Obamas. Next....

4.7% ???

Remember when Republicans chanted that the unemployment rate was the most important economic indicator?

Yeah....but that is when people are actually counted.....when you get people to stop looking for work so they get taken off the rolls, and then aren't counted.......that isn't what people think when you talk about unemployment level moron.....

U3 and U6 unemployment are measured the same way they always have been

U.S. job creation weak, even as unemployment rate falls to 4.7%Poor job creation but unemployment falls. The poor GOP JUST CANNOT WIN!

38K jobs created. 664K more people have given up and dropped out of the labor force. At the point where nobody is in the workforce, the unemployment rate will be 0. And morons like you will fall for the statistical manipulation.

Edit: The civilian population grew by 204K. More than three times as many people have Dropped Out than then growth in the population. This is what is a Downward Spiral, bub.

Wonder how much this one will end up having been overstated? At 30,000 avg for the last 2 months overstatement, could the real jobs added number jump down to just 8,000, if the trend holds.
And then there is this, the last 2 month reports were overstated by 59,000.

And the may just numbers sucked...

May jobs report worst in 5 years: Only 38,000 jobs added, labor force declines 458K - Hot Air

You notice they always adjust the numbers but never adjust the unemployment figure?
I bet you don't even know why that is.

4.7% ???

Remember when Republicans chanted that the unemployment rate was the most important economic indicator?

You have to factor in the labor participation rate. The rate was pretty steady from 1992-2008 under Clinton and Bush. Unfortunately it's been in decline ever since Obama took office.
It began its decline under Bush.

America has near record 5.8 million job openings

Job openings are just about everywhere today.

America had around 5.75 million job openings in March. That's just shy of the all-time high, 5.78 million openings, set last July, according Labor Department data published Tuesday.

It's great that U.S. businesses are hiring. But these record number of openings are also a sign that business owners can't find the skilled workers qualified to fill the jobs they have.

It's Republicans. They don't believe in education. So who is filling those jobs? Immigrants. Republicans just want to destroy this country and start over at the stone age, a time when they could compete.

You want to talk about the jobs lost during the W reign?

No need to. I've already looked up the stats from 2001-2016 and it's obvious President Bush has a much healthier job market than Obama. Admittedly, things start to decline a little when Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi take over in 2006.
jobs added (total):
Bush ...... +1,348,000
Obama ... +9,841,000

jobs added (private sector):
Bush ............ -396,000
Obama ... +10,331,000

Labor participation rate has been declining since 2000 when Bush took office

The decline represents 4 million baby boomers who drop from the workforce every year. It also includes 16 year olds, the handicapped and stay at home moms

Why do you want retirees, teenagers and new mothers to be working?

Why Baby Boomers are not retiring

They are a part of it, but not all of it. Retirees are not as ready to retire as you think. Why do you want to rape women?

REPs don't believe in education?
So explain why it's the LIB union controlled teachers unions who are failing the kids?
Suuuuuure the REP don't believe in education. Suuuuure!

Since Obama took office, employment has grown by 9M while the Given Up have growth by over 14M. Compare the two numbers, and think about it.

4 million boomers retire a year. That is 333,000 a month

Why are you concerned with a statistic that is dominated by retirees, handicapped, teens and stay at home moms?
