The cops executed a warrant and were fired on...by someone who likely knew they were cops........they defended themselves from a guy who shot at them....

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Nearly a week ago, Attorney General Daniel Cameron declared that Louisville Metro Police knocked and announced themselves before breaking down Breonna Taylor's apartment door during an attempted search that ended in her death.
He knew it, he said, because the officers at the scene told investigators they had identified themselves as police — and one of Taylor's neighbors said he heard them do it.
But Cameron left something out — that same witness previously said the exact opposite.
It wasn't until nearly two months later, when investigators circled back to Sarpee on May 15, that Taylor's neighbor said he heard officers knock and announce: "This is the cops."

On March 21 he said they didn't, then on May 15 he said they did. Did the Po Po put the screws too him for some unpaid tickets he had or maybe a joint they found on him.Wrong...they did....a witness testified he heard them announce they were police.

The guy shot at the guys entering his apartment.....he can claim he didn't know they were cops and therefore has legitimate self defense claims...
The cops entered the apartment, with a no-knock warrant...so whether they actually announced or not, they had the legal ability to enter the apartment....
They were fired on as they entered and returned fire in self defense...
Neither the guy or the cops should face penalties, they both acted in self defense.

Nope....they had a warrant signed by the judge.....the cops going through the door had no hand in that warrant and were executing their duties as law enforcement officers....blame the prosecutor and the judge, even the cop's bosses...but the cops going through the door were fired on, and returned fire...
At least one of the officers that night knew the warrant was based upon a lie. He should have blown the whistle.
