The mandate was created by the CONSERVATIVE Heritage Foundation. It was designed to control the problem of freeloaders. People who don't have insurance when they are healthy. If they get sick, they buy insurance and drop it when they get healthy again. There was a solid reason for it.

The fact is that the ACA is not unconstitutional. Government does have the right to regulate insurance companies. Important consumer protections would be ended if this happened. People with pre-existing conditions would see rates skyrocket or become unavailable. Older people would see rates skyrocket. Lifetime caps would be imposed again. Many people would become unemployable due to the fact they would cause a company's healthcare insurance rates to skyrocket.

Ronald Reagan said that no one should be prevented from seeing a doctor because they can't afford it. The Republican message now is drop dead. If Democrats play this up, Republicans will lose control of the House and maybe the Senate.

Healthcare is not a right, never has been never will be. The heritage foundation is wrong and corrupt on this issue alone...
