CAIR has a press conference? WTF?

"CAIR has a press conference? WTF?"

It's called the First Amendment, the right of citizens to gather, to freely assemble, to speak out concerning the issues of the day, and the right of the press to cover and report on such events.

It's understood that many on the right are confused by this, the consequence of their unwarranted hostility toward Muslims, their fear, ignorance, and bigotry concerning Muslims.

Indeed, the First Amendment exists to protect Americans from this sort of fear, ignorance, and hate, including Muslim Americans.

Don’t you just love these guys who think they are doing God’s will by pointing out all the freedoms we are entitled to, and yet, could not care less how much evil these same people are causing?

This post is not about denying CAIR the right to hold a press conference. It is about the gall of them holding one and trying to deflect blame upon anyone but Islamic terrorism. It is about the terrorism element within CAIR itself. It is about the cowards in Washington who give CAIR all this clout and fake impression they are here to do good. It is about how people in this nation are totally screwed up because they think we have to be nice to everything Islam, and not dare upset them in any way with a picture, a comment, or denying them their prayer rugs no matter where. It is about the fact that Islamic terrorism is ready to strike every single week in horrendous fashion but the courts, the congress, the democrats, the media and the president are more interested in pretending we are the problem and Christians are no better than they are. It’s about all the B.S. we are sick and tired of having fed to us. Which might explain to a-holes in the media how some angry bombast like Trump could actually become popular. Because everyone else is a liar or a coward.

Just came across this excellent piece by the brilliant Michelle Malkin..... Lots of interesting facts in it:cool:

This is the same group of litigious radicals who unsuccessfully sued a Florida gun-shop owner this summer for declaring that he would refuse to sell weapons to “anyone who is either directly or indirectly associated with terrorism in any way.” A judge ruled this week that “there are simply no facts grounding the assertion that Plaintiff (CAIR) and/or one of its constituents will be harmed.” CAIR is appealing, of course. This is the same group of treacherous thugs that squelched critics of Somalia-based jihad group al-Shabaab in Minnesota. CAIR smeared whistleblowing Muslims who participated in an educational Minneapolis forum on al-Shabaab terrorism and youth gangs as “anti-Muslim.” In 2013, the uncle of a missing young Muslim radical testified before Congress about CAIR’s efforts to pressure families to impede FBI investigations
.

“CAIR held meetings for some members of the community and told them not to talk to the FBI,” Abdirizak Bihi told lawmakers, “which was a slap in the face for the Somali American Muslim mothers who were knocking on doors day and night with pictures of their missing children and asking for the community to talk to law enforcement about what they know of the missing kids.” This is the same group of free-speech-trampling zealots that bombarded a private citizen, Zaba Davis, with harassing subpoenas over her opposition to a planned construction project by the Muslim Community Association and Michigan Islamic Academy. A federal judge called CAIR’s anti-free-speech witch hunt “chilling” and ordered the outfit to pay $9,000 in legal fees. This is the same manipulative group of controversy-manufacturing instigators who tried to sue “John Does” — innocent American citizens who alerted the authorities about their security concerns — in 2007 after a group of imams falsely claimed they were discriminated against on a Minneapolis flight.

After their stupid press conference, CAIR lawyered up the terrorist's family:wtf:

CAIR's Help For San Bernardino Terrorist's Family Takes a Page from PLO

In the immediate aftermath of the San Bernardino terrorist attack, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) sought to support and assist the families of the terrorist Syed Farook – before the FBI had even uttered the word "terrorism."

As my colleague Joel Pollak writes at Breitbart California, the organisation, which claims it is tasked with improving relations between America and its Muslim communities took the pre-emptive step of representing Mr. Farook's family, in what Pollak describes as a terrorist family's "death benefit."

CAIR's assistance and public representation of Syed Farook's family, in my opinion, closely resembles the Palestinian Authority's (PA) behaviour of rewarding imprisoned terrorists, or, in cases where they've died during an attack, their families. The PA has used U.S. and UK foreign aid for these "salaries," paid during incarceration, or, in the case of the families, for the foreseeable future.

Pollak notes:

CAIR issued a press release drawing attention to its role, almost as if legal assistance were a kind of death benefit offered to would-be terrorists, ensuring their children's welfare.

CAIR's actions do not meet the legal definition of "accessory after the fact." But helping terrorists' families, and broadcasting their political message–common practices of regimes that support terror, like the Palestinian Authority–is an odd way to carry out CAIR's mission of improving "American-Islamic relations." If anything, CAIR's actions are calculated to inflame those relations
