The governor of California has raised the legal age to buy tobacco for smoking, dipping, chewing and vaping from 18 to 21. Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown announced Wednesday he signed a bill calling for the change.

I remember the outcry (ok maybe some whining) when Arizona moved the legal age for alcohol up to 21. It didn't effect me but I saw young men complain about being legal for a couple years and then suddenly not. Well I didn't hear much said because they weren't allowed back in the bar.

At the end of the day, those who are under age are going to find a way around the law, no matter what the legal age is set at. If they can't buy the stuff themselves, you know that they will find someone to buy the stuff for them, so in my opinion, what difference is going to be made by changing the age limit to where it currently is?
