Californians Upset Over Lack Of Doctors Under Obamacare

When liberals speak of Obamacare they take great care to avoid calling it what it is. They use cute abbreviations like "ACA" in hopes that you'll forget who was the Dr. Frankenstein to this monster and, in time, they'll be able to blame it on Bush.

Don't let 'em get away with it - when you hear or read "ACA" always ask loudly whether they're talking about Obamacare or some social disease.

well im asking you.....where did we in California vote for Obamacare?....you said it.....back it up.....

A) CA is off the charts in cheapskate reimbursement, size of subsidies and narrowness of network. With 15 state exchanges and 35 non-exchange states normal distribution would result in one state being 2 sd below the mean in care. A quick and dirty test indicates that it will provide horror stories forever.

1) given state income inequality vs. subsidy guidelines it will easily be in the top five for percentage of population getting subsidies and average subsidy size.

2) It is no higher 10th best in gross reimbursement rates.

3) As the OP indicates it's also one of the lowest 5 in size of network per capita.

therefore it is only 0.2% as good as the best state using Ocare. While somebody has to be tail end Charlie in this case of 50 states the worst should be 2% as good as the absolute best not 0.2% as good.

Washington Free Beacon

Californians are expressing their dissatisfaction with California’s health insurance exchange, CoveredCalifornia.

This surprises anyone? :eusa_whistle:

I'm sorry to say but we're going to see a lot more of this all across the country. :eusa_hand:

Wait. THIS is the entire news story?

Californians are expressing their dissatisfaction with California’s health insurance exchange, CoveredCalifornia.

Covered California’s Executive Director Peter Lee testified before a Congressional committee about the successes of Covered California.

“It takes, in our mind, three things for an exchange to work. It takes having affordable health plans delivering quality care, it takes effective marketing outreach, and it takes effective enrollment,” Lee said.

Sadly though, Californians newly enrolled in Covered California are facing the grim reality that the care they are receiving is neither affordable, nor quality.

Few doctors are accepting the new health insurance plans, Californians say.

One Californian woman told KPIX-CA, “This is not what we were promised.”

Lee admitted, “It’s been rocky, it’s been bumpy. And it will continue to be rocky and bumpy.”

And, of course it's a lie.

Be careful with that, dear. Word on the street is that by this time next year even the repubs will be calling it the ACA. Why? Because most Americans won't have a problem with it. They'll look upon the naysayers as nothing more than dittoheads.

When planning a strategy, look forward, not back. Just saying.

The bond ratings agencies and CDS rates not yet using Ocare as a predictor of municipal bankruptcy and state defaults but the correlation between direction of bond ratings and voting against the Ds in 2010 and 2012 is interesting as in IL is the lowest rated state in the nation.

It's California.

They got what they voted for and for which they will continue to vote..

Nothing to see here.

Move along.

Exactly. Fuck em'. They voted for it. Quit bitching.

It should be called the ACA because that is what it is called. In any case I am not a Rightyloon or dittohead whatever the fuck that means. But seeing as I am being forced to pay a fine to provide insurance for others that I myself cannot afford, yeah I will have a big problem with it.

California Presidential Election Voting History

oh is that what it is?....every President has enacted things that many people dont like Steph.....Bush,Clinton,Bush and Reagan.....it goes right on down to Washington.....you have to just deal with it and hope the next group of "leaders" can make things better...if Republicans aint satisfied i suggest they quit scraping the bottom of the barrel and go up top and get a quality Candidate to run for President as well as Congress....of course that may mean the Dems will do the same thing.....but then that may be a good thing because we may actually get some REAL leaders up there that will take care of the Country first....

Of course there is a lack of doctors. ObamaCare is just an illusion of health care. It does nothing to increase supply, encourages demand for free services (Medicaid), and prevents people who are paying from accessing the doctors of their choice.

Obamacare's only accomplishment will be to build up the Greens as an alternative to the Ds who have not fielded a top shelf presidential candidate in my lifetime and I was born in the Truman administration.

Well, they've got to make it sound bad somehow, don't they? One unidentified Californian with a quote whose context is unclear is enough for me!

Bingo!

And I guarantee you they'll be taking credit for it too!

You may be surprised that despite your dire despair and ignorant wishes, the ACA actually has a provision to train medical professionals.

A provision for training doesn't mean there will be any qualified people to train.

I can just imagine the low bar education standards they'll set in the name of "fairness".

After looking at the link it's pretty clear that the training is pretty much more smoke and mirrors. There will be clinics with physician assistants and nurse practitioners and the doctors will go their own way ignoring the poor slobs that are stupid enough to suck up to obamacare. In a year people will be screaming and demanding democrat heads.

Let's face it, under Obozocare the doctors will come from all over the world, will have to learn to do it our way, and will be impossible to understand when you visit them! :(

I suspect a prison training program.
