1. They live in a dangerous area. Wildlife is not the only unpredictable threat, you know. They may be unfortunate enough to live in an area prone to leftists riots, for example.
2. They know that, should they start leaving the firearm behind on occasions, the one time they need it, they will probably have left it at home.
3. It's simply become a part of their wardrobe and they don't feel a particular need to carry, but do anyway. Heck, I carry a pocket knife in my pocket that I forget it's even there most of the time, but when I need it, I'm glad it's there. I don't look for chances to use it and I certainly never attack anyone with it. It's just part of what I stick in my pocket I'm sure there will be a push at some point to make that illegal as well, because I could easily kill someone with it.

I don't carry a firearm, but if a non-dangerous person (as the vast majority of CCW holders are) wishes to do so, it doesn't bother me. In fact, knowing that I'm in the presence of people who could take action in case of an attack is good. It's surprising how many are carrying because they do it quietly with no fanfare and you never realize the weapons are there.

I carry 24/7 I renew my enhanced permit every 4 years. If you have a clean record you shouldn’t have a problem acquiring one. The FBI is pretty through when performing back ground checks.

Thankfully, despite a spate on new gun laws in VT, permits are non existent across the board. It's a little nuanced but what are the thoughts out there on single action (SA) & double action (DA) or both for concealed carry. Some lawyer friends of mine have encouraged me to CC double action only for liability purposes; that whole ("did you actually intend to pull the trigger or did you flinch / were you shaking") prosecutorial tact. Any of y'all have any thoughts on the matter...

For me, after seeing my cousin's 1911 go off after banging the wall. I'd say DA revolver with hammer on empty chamber. It's really not one of the cheaper options, I sure wish it was.

Divorce laws vary state by state and for the most part, men do make these laws so they may quite often, favor MEN. Some states call for equal distribution under the law aka "community property". Those are very few, and most states call for "equitable distribution" which is really the fairest way to go about it.

I'm pretty sure I know a lot more about the problems of determining custody than you ever will. I got custody of my daughter when she was 5 and she is now just a few months from receiving her medical degree. You're right that women have had advantages in custody determination, but that is changing drastically. Mostly because more men are finally willing to do what is best for the child instead of what is best for their career.
