I've never understood the logic of believing something written down and worshipped as truth. The world has changed. It will continue to change. And all peoples have agendas in some form or another. I've never understood the logic of believing something written down and worshipped as truth. The world has changed. It will continue to change. And all peoples have agendas in some form or another. Religious books are no different. They were written by man long ago, according to the mindset of that time.

The scriptures are a testimony our forefathers had of their relationship with God. They are gifts to us of the knowledge and wisdom they've learned and tools to help us find God in our own lives. Quite useless unless we use them for those purposes. But they are powerful in assisting us when we do use them for that purpose.

It puzzles me when people start worshiping the scriptures more than the God who gave them or deny that God can speak and provide revelation to us that would not have been needed in the past. For example, the Lord won't reveal to us how to build an arc. We don't need that. But perhaps there are evils we need to avoid that He will reveal to us. Information on the Gathering perhaps, which is relevant to our salvation that wasn't to those in the past.
