Christian bakers who refused to make cake for homosexual "wedding" break gag order

What is Soros?

So there are some laws you can break because of religion and others you can't? How do you tell which ones

You are leftist, ergo the Constitution is not in your wheelhouse.

Your confusion over the 1st is compounded by your ignorance of the 13th.

{"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."}

The 1st is not license to engage in a tort. PA laws are not license to place others into involuntary servitude.

Incorrect I am more conservative. Do you pigeonhole people as a way to avoid arguments you can't address?

How was anybody placed in involuntary servitude?

you really shouldn't pretend you know anything about the constitution.... or anything else, near as I can tell...

well, except for being vicious and insulting, that you're pretty good at.

They were never forced to bake the cake. They still haven't.

They were never forced to bake the cake. They still haven't.

Oh, well that's good to know.

Back here on Planet Earth, there was a different outcome.

{
GRESHAM, OR, April 27, 2015 (LifeSiteNews.com) – An Oregon Christian family has been fined $135,000 for refusing to participate in a homosexual “wedding” ceremony.

Aaron and Melissa Klein ran “Sweet Cakes by Melissa” for seven years in the notoriously left-wing environment of Portland, Oregon. But on January 17, 2013, a lesbian woman asked the Christian couple to bake a cake for their homosexual “marriage” ceremony.

Upon learning the ceremony would be for two women, Aaron said, “I’m sorry. I hope I didn’t waste your time, but we don’t do same-sex marriages” based on his belief in the Bible.}

They still weren't forced to bake a cake. The $135,000 was fines they accrued over refusals to pay original fines continued violations of the law.

So where is the violation of the 13th amendment?

It's there any violation of the thirteenth? If not why did you claim there was?

The fines were for refusal to labor against their will.

Yeah, because doing what they already do for a living, is slavery...

No they weren't. They were ordered to pay damages due to publicly posting the lesbian couples address names and phone numbers when they posted the discrimination complaint on Facebook.

The fine really had nothing to do with the discrimination complaint, the wedding cake or the refusal to bake it.

They weren't forced to do anything. They closed their store to start an online business. They chose to do that. They didn't even go out of business.

So again what were they forced to do against their will?

Seems if there really was a 13th violation some Christian lawyers would love to take that up. You can take the city state and feral government to court that is a right guaranteed in the seventh amendment.

So why haven't these good Christian lawyers stepped up to represent the Klines in court? Why wouldn't they fight for their rights? Seems if it it's how you say it would be a very easy case to win.

If someone forces you to paint a house at gunpoint, that is not involuntary, because it is your regular jobs?

You Communists have some VERY fucked up thinking.
They weren't forced to do anything. The damages awarded to the lesbian couple were because the Klines posted their address names and phone numbers on Facebook.

So nobody was forced to do anything at gunpoint

What really occurred here was that the Cryer-Bowman couple filed a complaint with the Oregon DOJ. They wrote a few reviews of the bakery and the bakery started losing referrals. After all it's Oregon. So they posted the discrimination complaint on Facebook without covering names addresses and phone numbers. As a result the Cryer-Bowmans were harassed with death threats and so forth.

It was because of this they were ordered to pay damages.

They have stepped up, First Liberty is now representing them. Very good firm and former WH counsel under H W Bush is involved

No guns were involved, and no lawyers and little money had they just done what they already did for a living.

Because you say so does not make it so. Stop trying to shove it down people's throats and leave well enough alone. You want to be gay be gay, get pretend married, do whatever but realize many don't support you and never will. It's life and you can't whine, bitch and moan when things don't always go your way. There was NO REASON a fine that large was levied....none

Damages in a civil award, or fines in a criminal case?
They aren't fined or forced to pay damages over refusing to serve a customer. They were ordered to pay damages for posting they lesbian couple's personal information on Facebook.

The Kleins weren't forced to close their business, they weren't forced to provide service they weren't even fined for not providing service.
