Climate Changers Were Right - Bigger, Badder Storms

Let's also not forget that more people are living in places where hurricanes hit so there is more opportunity for observation.
Or, if a hurricane hit and no one was there to experience or document it, is it still Bush's fault?

More people living where hurricanes hit?

Now that's a novel defense for brainless denial.

And completely nonsensical.
There is no such thing as a "climate denier"...That is a made up term coming from liberals who needed a new narrative since Global Warming and Climate Change failed to gain any traction in the real world.....

Good luck to those people in Mexico. Hope it hits in an uninhabited place.
Unfortunately this will effect both resorts and impoverished coastal villages.
No doubt our government will be there to assist. After all, Mexico is our neighbor.

Ever recorded? With only a few decades of flights into the eastern pacific, I don't think so. These sensationalist headlines are for the birds.
Hurricane Patricia is on its way to the Mexican coast and will come through Texas in a couple of days, or rather extreme rain, possibly up to a foot in southeast Texas.

This storm is the worst hurricane on record.

Oh help us! Worst hurricane in 150 years! The world is going to end! WWWAAAAAAAHHHHHHH

I wonder, are you a member of an Ostrich Party?

If not you ought to start one, lots to recruit from, from those deniers who post on climate change.

How much of a reduction in CO2 is needed to stop cat 5 hurricanes once and for all?

Just enough to cause brain death in a bird brain...BTW, how do you type with sand stuck to your face and eyes?
What are YOU doing about this horrible phenomenon known as "climate change"?

You have to actually read the article before "ever recorded " really means ever recorded in the western hemisphere.

Every mexican that dies in this storm is one more that we don't have to educate, medicate or incarcerate.

Wow, you're the Queen of the Callous Conservatives.
How many illegals from Mexico have you invited to live in your home? Ever broken bread with them?.....Ever gone to the corner where the Mexican day laborers hang out and offered them work or just given them money?

The hyperbole form these asshats never ends does it.... Not the most powerful hurricane ever recorded. Not the biggest. Not the baddest. But it is a large one...no doubt of that. Hopefully the people in the impact zone can get the heck out.

For those who care for some accurate, non hysterical end of the world bullshit, here is a list of historical hurricanes.... As can be seen there were some real doozy's in the past. Below that is the wiki page for the 1950 hurricane season. Way, way more hurricanes then than any other time we have on record. So much for the more frequent crowd. There were many more hurricanes in the 1950's than at any time since.

You lose yet again on simple fact.

Strongest Hurricane Ever Measured Roars Toward Mexico's Coast

This is like a snowstorm at sea level on the Equator, or a hundred twenty degrees on a July night at the South Pole.

You lose! Your spin is not only partisan crap, it is absurd!
WHAT?!!!!!
To refer to others as partisan says one thing. You have balls as big as church bells. And not in a good way.
You have been awarded USMB's "Chutzpeh award for the week"....

No, it's not you silly person. The only people spinning are ignorant jackasses like you pushing the fraud of man made global warming.

Was acid rain a natural event or man made?
Was SMOG a natural even or man made?

Yes or no?
Whats that got to do with the climate?
Non sequitur.....
Those things are the reason our Congress passed the Clean Air Act.

Good luck to those people in Mexico. Hope it hits in an uninhabited place.
It hit a small town, just missing Puerto Vallarta. It hit at a wind speed of 165.
Latest Hurricane Hunter flight measured a max flight level ( 700 mb) of 192 kts......That's 220 mph....The measuring device they use to estimate sea level winds calculated that out to 165 kts or 189 mph.....Keep in mind this is the 4PM CDT observation. Prior to landfall.

You need to think a little harder. If more people live in places prone to hurricanes than previously, the number of observed hurricanes would increase. Duh. Like a tree falling in the woods, etc.

Youre an idiot. 1 person can observe a hurricane. There doesnt have to be more people living there.

The climate hoax crowd has been predicting an ever increasing number of hurricane that were going to hit the U.S. What happened?

Gee, I don't know about the climate hoax crowd predictions but I'm pretty sure 90% of the scientific community and elected officials in coastal communities take climate change seriously.

That it is a result of man made pollutants or not, I'm not in position to know; I leave that to the experts. Feel free to join the Party of the Ostrich, I have no interest in opinions by you or them.

AGWCult Theory: Turn on the Weather Channel and claim it's all because of Global Warming/Climate Change

I am reposting a post of mine from another thread. And even on weather.com they are backing down from some of their earlier claims this morning, saying the "strongest land falling hurricane in the pacific". They should have added "that recon has flown into at its peak". It should also have been mentioned we are in an el nino cycle, which increases the chances of stronger storms.
Here is my post-
It was the most powerful ever flown into, which has only been going on in that part of the basin for a few decades. Most hurricanes in the eastern pacific run out to sea, to never touch land, thus they are not reconnaissanced.

Many times satellite estimates are off. I have watched a number of storms be estimated by the nhc, then when recon gets there it is quite different. Satellite records are far from perfect. They can look less organized than what they actually find. The opposite has also been known to be true.

And there have been typhoons that have been stronger.

My heart goes out to those hit. Fortunately, it lost strength quickly, and so far reports are that it didn't cause catastrophic damage, as it could have. And her core was fortunately of small radius.

Storm produced rain, it hit a mountainous area between populated areas and quickly dissipated into a tropical storm with rain. Imagine the horror these poor Mexicans had to endure "rain" the end is near [emoji33][emoji33][emoji33]

Patricia, Strongest Landfalling Pacific Hurricane on Record
""Former Hurricane Patricia was downgraded to a tropical depression Saturday morning just 16 hours after becoming the strongest hurricane ever known to make landfall on the Pacific coast of Mexico. Patricia is expected to dissipate over the high mountain terrain of Mexico later Saturday, but it will add moisture to an already dangerous flooding situation in Texas.

The eye of Hurricane Patricia made landfall Friday at 6:15 p.m. CDT near Cuixmala in Jalisco state of southwest Mexico. Maximum sustained winds at landfall were estimated at 165 mph, still firmly within the Category 5 range on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale.
