Latest Hurricane Hunter flight measured a max flight level ( 700 mb) of 192 kts......That's 220 mph....The measuring device they use to estimate sea level winds calculated that out to 165 kts or 189 mph.....Keep in mind this is the 4PM CDT observation. Prior to landfall.It hit a small town, just missing Puerto Vallarta. It hit at a wind speed of 165.Good luck to those people in Mexico. Hope it hits in an uninhabited place.
