Seems that there was campaign finance violations concerning Ms. Daniels and the Playboy Bunny, and there are records to back it up.

Cohen as Trump's personal attorney had a specific account that Trump paid into for many a year. Like you do with your lawyer when you are in business. Personal funds.

It does not matter if it was campaign funds or not, if the money was used for the purpose of the campaign it does not matter if it came out of personal funds.

Cohen decided to pay Daniels out of his own money. This was his choice. The payment itself became an illegal campaign contribution. That's the violation.
