Manafort's convictions have nothing to do with Trump. Put down the bong. And Trump certainly did not authorize Cohen to use any campaign funds. Cohen as Trump's personal attorney had a specific account that Trump paid into for many a year. Like you do with your lawyer when you are in business. Personal funds.

It does not matter if it was campaign funds or not, if the money was used for the purpose of the campaign it does not matter if it came out of personal funds.
