The only dangerous thing I see is a President trying to protect his cronies from FBI investigations.

That would have required him to have committed a crime. He really didn't. Maybe he sucked at his job. That's not a crime.
The real problem, we don't have a way to separate actual crimes from political use of the criminal code to attack enemies.
