Through the month of April, COVID19 has been the leading cause of death daily in the USA, though we have flattened out the growth rate so that our health care system can now handle it easily.

Still, this is more than heart disease and cancer, and there is still a potential for it to come roaring back, so we need to keep social distancing and wearing masks, but we can re-open the economy, in a careful way.

But partisan politics has poisoned the discussion this whole time, and dont understand why, other than that some one the left see this as an opportunity to remake our society, which is bullkaka, and some on the right can only see this whole thing as a fraud, as many of them stupidly believe the Y2k crisis was a fraud as well. Why? Because we dodge the bullet, the bullet therefore never existed, lol.

I am disturbed by the reluctance of some of our governors to loosen the strings of power they have so quickly snatched up.

It was understood that the point of the lockdowns was to 'flatten the curve'. The WH issued guidelines that these governors followed to issue these lockdowns through emergency powers, in cooperation with the WH. Now that this goal has been achieved of flattening this curve, it is time to open back up, but these few governors refuse to do so, contrary to the guidelines they agreed to.

Continued lockdowns are beginning to stink of authoritarianism and of 'never let a crisis go to waste' and not protecting the lives, wealth, liberties and freedoms of our citizenry.

This is the prescription for Civil War if the goobernators dont mind their manners.

The COVID 19 pandemic has only been among us in full throttle for a couple of months, and the deaths are still climbing, through the rate of growth of these deaths has flattened out.

WE STILL HAVE EIGHT MORE MONTHS TO GO, dude, before you can compare it to annual death rates!

We are still averaging about 2,000 deaths per day since April 7th. If we dont bring the daily deaths down considerably, we will have over 400,000 more deaths by January of next year.

We will bring that number down, no doubt, but can we dispense with the 'This is just a flu' bullshit?

If one man infects 2 people every day then 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 ... and so on will be infected in the following days. Under this condition it will need 28 days = 4 weeks to infect all US-Americans. And it were in lots of countries often much more than 2 people, who were infected from 1.

You say 2 of 1000 die in case of Corona so in 4 weeks will be dead 660,000 people in the USA. But how realistic is 0.2%? In Germany for example died in the begininng about 0,4% of the infected people - but meanwhile 10 tiems more, 4%, died - lots of them after weeks of intensive care. So you have to calculate in this case 6,600,000 or even 13.2 million deaths. If I compare other nations it could be even much more worse. In the UK for example die 15.5% of the infected people.

And do not forget: Too fast is always too slow!

A look at the data of Johns Hopkins Universisty in case of covid-19 deaths in the USA shows to me: April 1st about 5000 deaths May 1st about 60000 deaths. Linear growing. No mitigation. Worrying situation.
