I think about 25% of the population have mental problems. I was curious about how many mentally challenged people are killed by police each year?

Well that's not very charitable. After all, it's only the 99% that give all the rest a bad name.

It's beyond doubt this guy was mentally ill and dangerous.

What I find chilling is that even a mentally ill person is aware of gun free zones and saw them as a safer target area to operate in.

gun nuts tell us about it all the time - and with the arsenal this guy had it'd be tough to claim he wasn't a gun nut.
