There's no difference between the big two. They have different policies on things that don't make much difference. Everything they do is about making sure the status quo stays. They can be bought easily, both of them, and they are bought easily, and they love it because they keep you saying "Choosing to flush your vote down the toilet isn't much of a choice." and you believe it.

Any talk of PR is ignored, no one will promote it. Small parties are to be shunned.

Clearly, if 20 million people all think that it's a waste to vote for small parties instead of a party that might represent them better, then IT'S A WASTE OF THEIR VOTE voting for the big two.

What you don't see is how politicians calculate things. They look at who votes, who they vote for and things like that. If 100,000 started voting other parties, the main parties would have to change their policies slightly. If 10 million did they'd have to make them more about the people.

Also, voters are mindless SHEEP. If others start voting for 3rd parties, then the sheep might actually think they could follow.

Iceland is number two. Nine parties with MPs. (A country with a population less than Wyoming)

Norway is fourth. 8 parties with members in parliament.
Austria is fifth. 6 political parties in the National Council and 5 in the Federal Council.

The US is way down the list. Why? Because the main two control EVERYTHING, they control what appears, they control what people think as a collective, they control it all. In other countries it's not this way.

I do believe the system has to change. To change the system more parties need to be doing a lot better. They need to be learning from small parties in Europe on how it's done.

Actually they're just dealing with reality, the reality that a vote for any party other than the big two is throwing your vote away.

Kind of like saying you have to drink either coca cola or pepsi.

Giving your vote to reps or dems is also throwing your vote away.

But I guess as the reps and dems control most sources of information and propaganda, saying people could vote other parties is not going to be told to them, so they won't think it.

How do you plan on ethnically cleansing the US so that it matches the demographics of the nations you listed? Not one of those countries has a party, like the Democrats, which is defined as a party filled with minority vioteers pursing redistribution policies which principally benefit minority voters. I'd say that all of the parties in your list revolve around ideas and none revolve around racial identity like our Democratic Party.

That Social Progress Index is essentially an index of how Leftist a country is, what a joke.

Besides, some of the measures are inversely correlated with multiculturalism, so multicultural countries are handicapped from the get-go.

-Equality in attainment of education: Blacks and Hispanics have lower IQ than whites, so equal outcomes are not possible.
-Years of tertiary schooling: Same as above, blacks and Hispanics have higher drop-out rates in HS.
-Women's average years in school: Same as above, plus this penalizes cultures which focus on family formation. There's nothing socially progressive about having a society of spinster women in menopause who have fantastic careers.
-Freedom of association: The more anti-discrimination laws you have to pass to deal with the problems of multiculturalism the fewer are your rights to freedom of association and thus your score on the Social Progress Index is lower.
