Democrats Just Ain't Havin' It

1. I mean, really.....the things the Democrats found it in their best interests to refuse to stand and applaud for!
Jobs!
Low unemployment!
Low BLACK unemployment!
Welders!
The national anthem!
The flag!

Oh the irony of this post. One of the most partisan hacks on this board complaining about partisan hackery.

Trump is no more responsible for the state of the US economy than Obama was to blame for the clusterfuck that Dumbya left him. Your economy is in a good state thanks to Obama. The effects of Trump's policies will start to kick in near the end of this year and the beginning of 2019. Remember, my little Korean petal, that the only piece of legislation he got even close to passing in his first year in office was the tax cuts. Other than that, he's done nothing (except play golf a few times a week and lie constantly).

Even a lobotomised amoeba would know this. To think your thought processes are lower than that is of no surprise. You've been posting such things since you signed up.

Obama was a terrible President that failed at everything. The Moon Bats were idiots electing him. They elected him for all the wrong reasons having nothing to do with his pathetic qualifications and disregarding his extreme far Left background..

The Democrats are really pissed at Trump for undoing the damage done by Obama. They can't stand the fact that they are being minimized by Trump's leadership of making this country great again.

It must really suck to be Democrat. The scum of this country.

You must be very young and this was the first SOTU address you have been old enough to stay up for.

The opposition party always sits on their hands and does not clap.

Not true....Republicans will stand on non partisan issues....the democrats didn't do that...

Obama is the first President never to have had a year of 3% or better economic growth: "... annual growth during Obama’s “recovery” has never topped 3%. By comparison, it never fell below 3% during the Reagan recovery. And in the nine years following the 1990-91 recession, GDP grew faster than 3% in all but two. While Democrats childishness did highlight their hatred for working Americans it did nothing to explain it. Perhaps hate like their's just knows no reason?

Wait....you're not suggesting that the Democrats are....

....IRRATIONAL???????

Couldn't have been anymore obvious how much Liberals don't want success for the middle class, especially minorities. Who would vote for their entitlements if these groups are successful and working?

I am sure if we go back a year I will find threads from you whining about the Repubs doing this same thing, right? Or are you just one more mindless partisan zealot?

Love your logic. "They did it so we should also". What a BS cop-out, cowardly way of thinking. Liberals made fools of themselves. Trump knocked it out of the park!

“In our drive to make Washington accountable, we have eliminated more regulations in our first year than any administration in history.” If bureaucrats can no longer justify their power with rules made by bureaucrats like a legislature, carried out by bureaucrats like an executive, and enforced by bureaucrats like a judiciary, the whole unconstitutional Administrative system, devoid of checks and balances, comes crashing down—with James Madison cheering from his grave."

Reducing the burden of big government......Trump couldn't be more conservative!

Rightly, they didn't want to applaud Trump's vile attempts to claim credit for those things.

"Bush's fault" for 8 years and now 1 year into Trump's presidency it's Obama's economy. LOL Nice try. Trump has pretty much erased 45 on less than a year.

Because Hussein Obama was hugely over his head in the position of President.

He was never equipped for the job.

So you have nothing but ad homs. Why am I not surprised.

The economic position during Obama's tenure was directly related to Dumbya's presidency. But like a typical conservative, you don't take responsibility for yours and your ilk's fuck ups, but blame others.

4. See if you are able to deny any of the following:

Let's give you a dozen chances to prove you aren't a lying low-life Liberal:

1... in today’s recovery — the slowest in the modern era going back to 1947 — private capital investment has lagged badly. ... so has the jobs situation, with 92 million dropping out of the workforce altogether. A labor-participation rate of 62.8% and an employment-to-population rate of 58% are historic lows indicative of the anemic jobs recovery. 4. . In a stunning Tuesday report, Gallup CEO and Chairman Jim Clifton revealed that “for the first time in 35 years, American business deaths now outnumber business births.”Clifton says for the past six years since 2008, employer business startups have fallen below the business failure rate, spurring what he calls “an underground earthquake” that only stands to worsen as lagging U.S. Census data becomes available.
“Let’s get one thing clear: This economy is never truly coming back unless we reverse the birth and death trends of American businesses,” writes Clifton."Economic Death Spiral: More American Businesses Dying Than Starting - Breitbart

5. "Surprise: U.S. Economic Data Have Been the World's Most Disappointing
It's not only the just-released University of Michigan consumer confidence report and February retail sales on Thursday that surprised economists and investors with another dose of underwhelming news. Overall, U.S. economic data have been falling short of prognosticators' expectations by the most in six years." Surprise: U.S. Economic Data Have Been the World's Most Disappointing

6. . "That basic math is why middle class incomes have been in decline under Obama. The Census Bureau reports that since Obama became President 7 years ago, real median household income has fallen by $1,300 a year. Heritage Foundation Chief Economist Steve Moore explained in testimony before the Ways and Means Committee, “At 2 percent growth the economy doesn’t spin off enough jobs to increase wages, and tax revenues grow much too slowly to balance the budget.”
The recession officially ended more than 6 years ago. Wages and incomes have always grown in recoveries, not declined. Moreover, the American historical record is the deeper the recession, the stronger the recovery. The economy is supposed to boom in a recovery to catch up with its long term economic growth trendline. But over 6 years after the recession ended, that still has not happened. Instead, what we have gotten under President Obama is the worst recovery from a recession since the Great Depression." Realizing The Super Bowl Of American Economic Growth

"Even if you leave out the first quarter of 2009—when the recession that started in December 2007 was still ongoing--President Barack Obama has presided over the lowest average first-quarter GDP growth of any president who has served since 1947, which is the earliest year for which the Bureau of Economic Analysis has calculated quarterly GDP growth. 9. . "...take-home pay for many American workers has effectively fallen since the economic recovery began in 2009, according to a new study by an advocacy group that is to be released on Thursday.

The declines were greatest for the lowest-paid workers in sectors where hiring has been strong — home health care, food preparation and retailing — even though wages were already below average to begin with in those service industries.

10. . "Obamacare health insurance co-ops surged past the $1 billion mark in losses this week, making history of sorts. The insolvencies, totaling $1.36 billion, mean that the co-ops have burned through more than half of the original $2 billion appropriatedin 2010 for the program under the Affordable Care Act. The funds were loaned to the start-up co-ops in 2012 and were to be repaid in 15 years, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which manages Obamacare.

2. "At least one thing is clear after President Trump’s first State of the Union speech. If the idea was to reach across the aisle for bipartisanship, the Democrats are having none of it.

3. ...Trump had a lot to talk about — a booming stock market, historic tax reform, quickening growth, jobs and profits coming home.

4.Even before the president spoke, Democrats were sending sullen signals. Congresswoman Judy Chu of California reportedly refused to stand when Mr. Trump entered. She sat reading a newspaper.

5. ...four broken-hearted parents of two Long Island teenage girls slain by members of an illegal-immigrant gang.
“Three hundred and twenty million hearts are right now breaking for you,” the president looked up and told them. “We love you.”

Yet Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin called the speech “entirely lacking in empathy.”

6. Nor did Senator Bernie Sanders suggest engaging with Mr. Trump over, say, the Dreamers — or, for that matter, the $1.5 trillion in infrastructure projects Mr. Trump wants. Instead, he painted the president as an untrustworthy man of broken promises.

7. Nor did the main Democratic responder, Representative Joseph Kennedy, grandson of RFK. His remarks will rank among the most crabbed rejoinders ever offered to a state of the union speech.
The most bizarre feature of Kennedy’s rejoinder was the notion that the Republican Party is turning American life into a “zero-sum game.” He called it a game where “in order for one to win, another must lose.”

8. In fact it is precisely the Democrats’ redistributionist socialism that is the zero-sum game. They want to cut the American pie into ever smaller slices and make government redistribute it.
Mr. Trump’s Republican brand of pro-growth economics is the opposite of a zero-sum game. It would lift Americans by growing the whole economy. That is Republican holy-writ, before and after Trump.

9.So non-responsive were the Democrats that it’s hard not to conclude the party panjandrums want to run out the clock until November. Maybe they figure they have the House in the bag.

10. The overarching aim of the Democrats is holding out for control of the House — and then impeachment."

OP, great post, very insightful and articulately presented! After perusing this thread I'm reminded of a quote by a long gone Greek poet....
