He manipulated fuel prices already, increasing them nearly 30% in our area. That is effectively a tax on everyone as it will increase the price of ALL goods. He and the democrats also foisted a $1.9T covid relief bill that only gave 10% to covid relief while giving pork barrel windfalls to charities that are funding a "guaranteed income to impoverished families of color." This program specifically excludes impoverished WHITE families. Biden and the democrats are the most RACIST people in this country.

Yeah the moron does not realize that a FEDERAL tax would not take the place of state and local gas taxes, it would be in addition to the current taxes. States and municipalities are not going to give those taxes up because the feds want more taxes. SMH.

There are quite a few blue collar, self-employed, working poor people who are running a small business using a truck, landscaping for example. None of them make anywhere near 400k/yr. I doubt this could even get 50 votes in the Senate, let alone 60. And I am dead certain whatever revenue is raised will not come close the cost of the infrastructure bill the democrats want to pass.

It would be relatively easy if they required you to state your odometer reading when re licensing your car, the cost of registration would include the mileage tax based on your statement. Certainly, there would be some fraud, but I think that audits would probably be required much the same way they foisted "Smog Check" on the citizens of CA. In any case--it IS a new TAX on EVERYONE that drives. They don't want you to drive as part of their new green deal anyway, so it would reduce the number of drivers to a certain extent.
