Ron DeSantis routinely proves his conservative credentials not only by fighting battles others won't, but many times winning them. Just this week Disney and the DeSantis governing board reached an agreement in a year's long fight in which he took on the corporation over its "woke" culture, and he also won the state's redistricting case. This is in addition to other battles he's won, including eliminating DEI from universities, abortion restrictions at six weeks, ending squatters rights, all things conservatives have wanted. Yet despite these victories, Donald Trump continues to rip on him during speeches and social media, his minions on social media, like Laura Loomer, et al, continue slandering him, and the so-called conservative media routinely ignores DeSantis's accomplishments, instead focusing on Donald Trump's personal and legal issues as if they are the most important things to have ever happened and are the greatest injustices in human history.

The conservative media and the Republican Party are a joke that is no longer in any way about advancing conservative goals.

Several laws have been tossed by federal courts as a violation of free speech rights. If DeSantis is winning then why did he compromise? Apparently the lawyers said that they would lose on some points. Looking for qualified minorities is not wrong. Halle Bailey showed she was the perfect choice for the little mermaid. Eliminating DEI is nothing to be proud of. It is a mark of racism. Finding a racist judge is not something to write home about. Female Republicans have also worked to restore abortion rights for women even though DeSantis and Republicans are desperately trying to block a vote.

Distancing himself from DeSantis is the only smart thing Trump has done.

Trump signed 12 cr's, 3 omnibus bills and suspended the debt ceiling.

DeSantis got more votes on his 2nd term election, and increased his party's majority without Trumps endorsement than he did with Trumps endorsement in his first term election.
And let's not forget, DeSantis raised more money FOR TRUMP than any other governor in the USA.



The state government isn't in control over the insurance market. Blaming DeSantis because of insurance companies rates in a state with the highest amount of hurricanes is ridiculous. Insurance companies pulled out of FL, because the only way to make enough profit is to charge huge rates. People don't want to pay those high rates, so the insurance companies don't have enough customers to cover the cost of the claims. The only way to keep them there is for the FL government to subsidize home insurance companies.

Trump DID endorse DeSantis...even though DeSantis had already formed his exploratory committee to run for President against him.

DeSantis had a big win against a former Republican Florida Governor turned Democrat that the Right hated for switching and the left hated for what he did when he was a Republican.

A ham sandwich would have made a better candidate.

The state government has PLACED themselves in control of the insurance market by creating a government backed insurance company...Citizens Insurance...so fuck off with that bullshit.

Trump came from a world where he could give orders and everyone had to follow them. Into a world where no one had to take his orders. Even his own people. Mike Pence for example. Or Nancy Pelosi.. Hell, even his own AG.

You can say DeSantis got some bad campaign advice. But there was no good way to campaign against Trump and The TCC (Trump cancel culture). Go after Trump on his actual failings, and the TCC attacks. Play nice with Trump, and get attacked by the conservatives who don't support Trump and still the TCC. Because the TCC was in attack mode before DeSantis even announced he was running.

But picking what some would think are bad campaign people has nothing to do with DeSantis's ability to pick the right people to help him in his executive position in government. DeSantis's military, law and government experience has put him in the spotlight for the great accomplishments he's had in his executive position. His experience and knowledge of how the government works, at the federal level and state, is why he's such a good governor and has a conservative winning streak.
