Do we let people die who do not have health insurance

Its the American way and especially the Repub way.

Remember, one of the Paul's, Rand or Ron, GOP debate, said something about letting people die and the Repub crowd went wild with applause.

They also booed the skype interview of a soldier in Iraq, because he was gay.

The right is vicious. And yeah, they're in favor of letting people die. Wait till they find out they're losing their insurance too. My bet is they'll blame Obama! - cuz, that's what they do.

Hey, smoking that Kush stuff is bad for you. Stick to real weed. Its cheaper and one gets less weird when they overpartake.

Ticks me off that RWNJs already know that trump/ryan care is more proof of trump's lies. Everything he said was a lie.

They're screwed. So are their kids and parents and everyone they know.

I have long thought that RWNJs must be the biggest concentration of real wealth anywhere. That's the only possible explanation for them wanting to take everything from the poor and sick and give it to the rich.

/---- You know that old talking point makes no sense. Taking wealth from the poor is like squeezing blood from a stone, but tired cliches are all you got.

Taking money from the wealthy is the same, their hands are clasped so tight, not all but most. They want everything for nothing.

It is not responsible to pay the bills of somebody else.It is their responsibility. Liberals have a hard time understanding the concept of personal responsibility.

I may, in my generosity, chose to help somebody in need but I sure as hell don't need the oppressive government taking my money by force and giving it to somebody else. Giving it to assholes like the welfare queens that make up the core voting block of the Democrat Party or illegals.

Yes what a waste hey. The elites spend money on foolish things , so they wont miss a few extra bucks.

When someone chooses not to buy health insurance and they do not have money to pay for doctor and/or hospital what do we do. Should we refuse service? Should we let them die? It is their choice to not have Insurance.
Do we provide service and let the government pay for what they cannot pay. The government is us. Why should we pay for someone who chose not to spend their money on insurance?

The responsible end up paying for the irresponsible.
Are you talking about the people with jobs who couldn't afford that Obamacare BS?

Do you know why they couldn't?

Its damn simple. Just like "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor", the people you voted for made sure the average people could not afford ObamaCares.
There's a reason why people think you're an idiot, Luddly. I'm sure that's something you're comfortable with.
Isn't it your kind who yelled out "let him die" when Ron Paul was asked about a coma patient?
You're another one who isn't too smucking fart.
Well, wasn't it?

1) Health insurance companies are some of the biggest bastards in the world. "We don't cover pre-existing conditions, this is normal in the healthcare insurance industry", it's like saying it's okay to kill Jews simply because it was normal in Nazi Germany. It's NOT OKAY to not cover pre-existing condition. It's not okay for you to judge whether my cancer is the "right type of cancer to be treated", it's not okay for you to decide that you can't be bothered to cover things you don't like.

2) I'm no socialist, but private healthcare for poorer people is the biggest fucking con going. People who support this type of system are sickos.
$$$

It all comes down to that. Who should be forced to pay for others needs or wants? Half the country has no skin in the game.

So you suggest letting half the country die. Perhaps starve them or gas them to death, round up all the deadbeats and put them on an island and nuke it. Do you even comprehend who Medicaid covers, pg women (since the gop wants to defund PP Title X) , aged, ill children, families with low income and out of a job(many have been laid off) , and the working poor, disabled, etc. 75 million.

PS: the Gop has no employee mandates, you are now at the mercy of the employers if you get insurance and what kind and for how much. Never good to be a the mercy of the employer.

And you're STILL running away from your claim that there are no caps on Medicare.

Nope. You are an idiot. I am not looking towards Socialist/Marxist solutions like the Dems. I want the opposite.

Thank you Hippocrates:

"I swear to fulfill, to the best of my ability and judgment, this covenant:...

I will respect the hard-won scientific gains of those physicians in whose steps I walk, and gladly share such knowledge as is mine with those who are to follow.

I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures which are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment and therapeutic nihilism.

I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon's knife or the chemist's drug.

I will not be ashamed to say "I know not," nor will I fail to call in my colleagues when the skills of another are needed for a patient's recovery.

I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know. Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. Above all, I must not play at God.

I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person's family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems, if I am to care adequately for the sick.

I will prevent disease whenever I can but I will always look for a path to a cure for all diseases.

I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm.

If I do not violate this oath, may I enjoy life and art, respected while I live and remembered with affection thereafter. May I always act so as to preserve the finest traditions of my calling and may I long experience the joy of healing those who seek my help."

We are going to end up with single payer.
I remain hopeful that our "leaders" (cough, har har) won't go all the way to Single Payer and will instead stop at what I want, an expansion of the Medicare / Medicare Advantage / Medicare Supplement system, a smart combination of public and private funding.

The problem is, the danger is, most people don't know the distinction between the two, and it's possible our "leaders" (cough, har har) don't either.

True, but insurance companies are not in the business of providing medical care. Which is sort of the point.

You're ignoring the ones who can't afford health care.
I'm bi-polar. I hold down a job because I'm a vet and have VA provide me my pills. without which I wouldn't be able to hold down a job.
My nephew has panic disorder, we think, since we can't afford a doctor we don't know what he really has. He flunked high school because he'd have anxiety attacks every time he had to take a test. He can't hold down a job. He should die because he's too dumb/sick to be able to work?

We need to make up our minds. Either we provide for everyone. Or everyone provides for themselves and allow Darwinism to weed out the weak. Trying to keep both sides happy will bankrupt us.

Do you sell those plans? You bet, imagine if you and the insurance companies had a wide open playing field with no age qualifications.

And imagine what bringing in young, healthy people to the plans would do to premiums.

I get pissed just thinking about it. The whole thing is just sitting there, ready to go.

Does auto insurance cover an accident you had before you obtain the auto insurance? I think not.

What is different between forcing everyone to pay for insurance, or using tax money to pay for insurance for everyone?
