Do You Think the President is Above the Law?

Is the President Above all the laws of the United States?

President Trump's new defense against the Mueller probe is that he is above the law.

Since you led off with a big fat whopper lie I stopped reading. :eusa_liar::eusa_liar::eusa_liar:

You don't read at all, much less pay attention. And I doubt you know how to think, either.
But I'll give you one more chance. This is the letter Trump's lawyers sent to Mueller, stating that Trump cannot be indicted.
The Trump Lawyers’ Confidential Memo to Mueller, Explained

You are as dumb as the OP. Nowhere in that letter is it stated that president Trump is above the law, its a big fat whopping LIE. In fact its quite clear in the letter than Trump could have simply cited executive privilege to stonewall congress and Mueller investigation but chose not to for transparency even though he was legally entitled to do so. The letter proves the OP lied and that your reading comprehension is at best kindergarten.

It has already been decided that Presidential Powers do not make the President bulletproof.

The OP claimed Trump's lawyers said Trump was above the law, it was a big fat whopper lie typical of some liberals. Goddamn liberals are dumb, I should join their side for a while to level the playing field its so rare the left make any valid argument.

I just read the entire letter. It never says that Trump is "above the law".

The more important question is HOW DID THE NY TIMES GET THIS LETTER?

Who leaked it?

It certainly does say he is above the law. Read it again.

I've already read it. It doesn't say it.

Feel free to post proof from the actual letter.

It does say it. It clearly says that his Presidential Powers allows him to do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, and he can not be held accountable for it due to his position and the powers given to him by the Constitution. That includes firing people and shutting down any investigations he wants even if it has to do with him.

You have reading comprehension issues. The letter merely asserts that the POTUS has certain powers within the law. It never states he is above the law. The COTUS has a procedure for dealing with these types of issues should they arise.

Wrong. It says he can not be indicted. It says he can fire anyone he wants whenever he wants. It says he can end investigations whenever he wants.

It also states he helped draft the letter about the Trump Tower meeting that was a lie.

It also states he never said he fired Comey over the Russia investigation... despite it being on fucking video of him saying it to Lester Holt. He also said he didn't talk to Lavrov in the White House about him having the Russia investigation off his back from firing Comey...

He lied and said he fired Comey after the recommendation of Rod Rosenstein. He then admitted on video that was a lie, he was going to fire Comey no matter what.

How many fucking times does he have to lie to your face for you to wake up?

He can do all of those things. The powers delegated to him by the COTUS grant him powers within the law.

Please continue to try and deflect from the lie you told to start the thread, it reveals your immaturity.

Nowhere in the leaked letter does it say that Trump is "above the law".

You lied when you created the thread and instead of admitting it and moving on, you are still trying to defend it. Have fun kiddo.

:cuckoo:

How hard is for you to understand... if a person can not be indicted that means they are above the law?

How hard is it for you to understand that if he can fire people investigating his wrong doings that is above the law?

How hard is it for you to understand that if he can close any investigation including those about him...

HE IS ABOVE THE LAW?

OMG!!! this thread should be in the dictonary under cognitive dissonance

~S~

Political tribalism is cognitive dissonance.

Many Trump supporters would not accept lying in their real life circumstances, but ignore and accept when he clearly lies to the public.

How about this slant... did you ever think the president was above the law or did the concept just enter your small angry left wing minds when a republican was elected?

The President certainly is answerable to the law, as this Trump is and will continue to find out.

No current President has made the statements Trump has... where he has demanded loyalty before appointing positions, nor made the statements that the DOJ should do what HE SAYS, rather than uphold the law.

There's your conundrum kid, the very same Law you appeal to is the Law that protects a sitting Prez. If you don't like it change it.

Good luck.

I don't need to change it. The Supreme Court has already said there is a limit to Presidential Powers. Trump's lawyers point to s court decision that is outdated and has been changed.

We know from the excusing of Crooked Hillary's crimes that The Secretary of State was above the law, don't we?

LOL, nobody says there isn't dipwad. Yu CANNT indict a sitting President for a Criminal or Civil action. You MUST impeach and remove from office first.

You truly are a dense one.

And how do you do that if he is able to close any investigation into his wrong-doings or whomever is investigating him?

What the fuck part of that do you not understand?

President Trump's new defense against the Mueller probe is that he is above the law. Not only that, but he IS THE LAW. He can do whatever he wants and can not be prosecuted for it. Do you think the President of the United States holds that much power?

Let me remind you that when the United States decided on George Washington to be the first leader of the United States, they were going to call him a king and he rejected it. He said a President shouldn't hold as much power as a king, and that a President is only a part of the head of government along with Congress and the Supreme Court.

Here is a copy of the letter that spells out how Trump's team says Trump can not obstruct Justice because he is Justice.

The Trump Lawyers’ Confidential Memo to Mueller, Explained

No President is above the law. That is why when this is over with, former President Obama is going to be looking mighty bad-)

The President is not above the Law..

Obongo should go to jail for spying on Trump

and using the full force of the federal Government

against his political foes…..
he didn't spy on Trump

Sure he did....

Is clapper a liar?
Clapper didn't say president Obama spied on Trump by inserting a spy in his campaign for political purpose....

He did say an outside informant asked questions of 3 people who worked for the Trump campaign who had constant contacts with Russian Gvt Agents... to try to find out whether they had been wittingly recruited by the Russians to infiltrate the Trump campaign, or were unwittingly being used by the Russian agents, a human source was the proper means to try to find out.

It had nothing to do with campaign secrets or for political purpose to hurt Trump's campaign in any way.....period. It was for national security purpose.

And Trey Gowdy CONFIRMED this a few days ago....

so, if you want to call an informant, or a human source a spy, feel free to do so..... but it had nothing to do with his campaigning...and the human source was not inside their campaign spying on their campaign....it had to do with the Russians....

I don't need to change the law... the SUPREME COURT already ruled on it. Trump and his supporters like you just seem to ignore that.

Only an idiot tries to distinguish between an "informant" and a "spy". YOU are an idiot.
