Clapper didn't say president Obama spied on Trump by inserting a spy in his campaign for political purpose....

He did say an outside informant asked questions of 3 people who worked for the Trump campaign who had constant contacts with Russian Gvt Agents... to try to find out whether they had been wittingly recruited by the Russians to infiltrate the Trump campaign, or were unwittingly being used by the Russian agents, a human source was the proper means to try to find out.

It had nothing to do with campaign secrets or for political purpose to hurt Trump's campaign in any way.....period. It was for national security purpose.

And Trey Gowdy CONFIRMED this a few days ago....

so, if you want to call an informant, or a human source a spy, feel free to do so..... but it had nothing to do with his campaigning...and the human source was not inside their campaign spying on their campaign....it had to do with the Russians....

In another example of Trump saying he is above the law, he now says he can pardon himself. If true this would make any wrong-doings, investigations, or charges against him mute, as he could just make himself immune to it all.
