You're over-reacting...it's just a gal in a bathing suit, not porn......quit exaggerating. If you had impure thoughts, that's your fault, repent, change the page and you'll be okay.
The overt sexuality of the image isn't in question.
The question is why you as a believer want that image as what identifies you.
Ir'a just a picture. A lovely girl with a beautiful body, why not? You're way too inhibited about things that don't matter.
Jesus didn't command me to dress in sackcloth and ashes, but regardless, the picture on my avi does not identify my persona, that's your own configuration, not mine.
You misunderstand.
It isn't what I personally find titillating, it is what scripture expects of you and your behavior, and how you pick and choose what matters, as all Christians do.
As for your avatar, that is the purpose of an avatar.
"In computing, an avatar (usually translated from Sanskrit as incarnation) is the graphical representation of the user or the user's alter ego or character. It may take either a three-dimensional form,[1] as in games or virtual worlds, or a two-dimensional form as an icon in Internet forums and other online communities.[2][3] Avatar images have also been referred to as "picons" (personal icons)[4] in the past, though the usage of this term is uncommon now. It can also refer to a text construct found on early systems such as MUDs.[5] It is an object representing the user. The term "avatar" can also refer to the personality connected with the screen name, or handle, of an Internet user.[6]"
