Doesn’t it bother conservatives that by nature, they don’t embrace new ideas?

The Republican Party runs the same platform every election. There is never anything new. While Democrats are still consistent in every election, they still have many ideas. Shouldn’t we learn from our mistakes and embrace new ideas?

Many (bad) ideas...

Indeed the good ideas have been learned from the many mistakes. For example, the mistake of socialism... Why do leftists want to try a failed idea again and again?
Well the truth is that socialism isn’t necessarily the antithesis of capitalism, but obviously capitalism is still flawed unchecked. Wages are way behind on the cost of living and it’s been this way for decades.

Capitalism has no flaws. Government interference is the flaw.

This is why if it ain't broke don't fix it and since this was record the Republic win count as went over 1000 seats

Yep.....never underestimate the stupidity of the American public.

I actually agree with you.....POLITICALLY speaking.....if I am a Republican, I wouldn't change a darned thing. They know their cult members are hooked and will do whatever they tell them to do. They've proven all they have to do is keep pounding on a few issues, keep playing on racial tensions, and cheat through gerrymandering and it is a winning combination. Heck, they can steal money from the middle class and give it to the rich and their minions don't care.

If you are a true PATRIOT and care about the democratic country, however, the political gobbledygook should take a back seat and real ISSUES should be what is foremost in your mind. Your post is a perfect example of how all you folks care about is politics......and also explains why you don't care that the clown that is in the White House arguing AGAINST immigration policy doesn't bother you (for example).

It now isn't a surprise why you voted for a reality TV show host as President....it's all a game to you anyway. It's pathetic.
What's pathetic is the hypocrisy of the democrat party platform and agenda.
What is pathetic lack of touch with reality
No one in the GOP IS ANTI IMMIGRATION fuckwit its illegals Americans oppose.

How about embracing the FUNDAMENTALS of a productive society, as well as new ideas that also add to that characteristic? Not Communist, FEEL GOOD, nonsense that only drains a productive society for no good reason.

And it's also fascist when the government get's involved

Silly!

There is little difference between the two criminal gangs...who operate much like the Mafia, but with much greater power and criminality.

Simply the word "conservative" tells us who they are.

1. a person who is averse to change and holds to traditional values and attitudes, typically in relation to politics

2. not liking or accepting changes or new ideas

---------

In my opinion, not accepting good ideas, period!

No one of sound mind embraces puerile, naive ideas that suck.

I can’t speak for Republicans, but Conservative ideas and ideals are never wrong. They’ve worked for thousands of years. If the electorate chooses to ignore or disagree with them that doesn’t mean they should be changed; just that the electorate needs to be changed to accept Conservativatism.

universal healthcare or making higher education free.

Are you really going to tell me that isn’t true?

Those aren't new ideas. Both sides say the same shit over and over and continually sabotage the progress of the other side.
It is nice to see that you do NOT agree with Trump's sabotage of Obamacare.

You're nuts if you think that giveaway to the insurance companies was some kind of progressive solution. I support universal healthcare and more affordable education for young people. A healthy, educated and debt free population strengthens America as a whole. I'm a real leftist, not some halfwit partisan hack that thinks Obama was some kind of hero.
Not sure why you have to label it 'progressive'?! So then you can castigate it as something?

I'll be the first to admit.....Obamacare is NOT the end all, be all for health care. It was, however, a vast improvement to what we had. Bottom line is that millions more Americans had health insurance and costs were stabilizing. I still think that universal health care is far more efficient and what we will eventually move to.....but, until that point; Obamacare improved things.

The mandate is bullshit. It's the wrong solution to the problem and I just can't get behind it.

So, because you and others failed to launch under capitalism, the system is flawed. How interesting.

“Doesn’t it bother conservatives that by nature, they don’t embrace new ideas?”

Obviously not, given the fact that conservatism is predicated on an unwarranted fear of change, diversity, dissent.

Indeed, conservatism is fundamentally authoritarian, seeking to compel conformity and demonize that which is new or perceived to be ‘different.’

These same sorts were having tea and crumpets ,singing 'God save the Queen', while the leftie loonie libtards of the late 1700's gained our independence

Rewriting history is a vain avocation when the original records remain extant.

The Founders had nothing in common with modern-day "liberalism", and would have scorned you people as blithering idiots.

Socialism is the ability to convince enough gullible people that if the hand their money to their leaders, they'll all be better off
You mean like giving the President himself or the people who crashed the economy a gigantic tax cut and windfall of cash?!?!?!? The current POTUS and Republican Congress just did EXACTLY what you say.....but sure.....I am gullible?!?! Give me a friggin' break.
Not too bright there, are you Sparky?
Good one?!?! Childish, yet, shallow. Congrats.

Letting people keep more of the money they earn is EXACTLY LIKE SOCIALISM!

What happens if everybody decided not to work and expected the government to provide for them what would happen to the system?
Would the government implement slavery and force people to work?

What a stupid question......which has NOTHING to do with what we're talking about. Go ahead Cletus.....keep avoiding the real conversation. Might make you feel good, but, it reveals you to be an obvious coward.

Ideas like trannies with dicks taking a piss in the same bathroom as your wife and daughter. Dims would de better if they stuck to their old ideas.

It has everything to do with the discussion
It presents a problem for what you push for. It shows the flaw in the system your party has placed on its platform.
