Doesn’t it bother conservatives that by nature, they don’t embrace new ideas?

The Republican Party runs the same platform every election. There is never anything new. While Democrats are still consistent in every election, they still have many ideas. Shouldn’t we learn from our mistakes and embrace new ideas?

Many (bad) ideas...

Indeed the good ideas have been learned from the many mistakes. For example, the mistake of socialism... Why do leftists want to try a failed idea again and again?
Well the truth is that socialism isn’t necessarily the antithesis of capitalism, but obviously capitalism is still flawed unchecked. Wages are way behind on the cost of living and it’s been this way for decades.

It is well known by those who understand it, socialism is a step towards communism.

Regarding the wealth gap- This country also experienced a huge growth in the wealth gap thru the Industrial Revolution. One could argue that during times of economic expansion accompanied by technology advancement that income/wealth inequality is a by product. The wealth gap was shaved thru the depression (1930’s). This country experienced economic expansion with less technological advancement after WW2 without a broadening wealth gap. As the digital age emerged in the 1970’s the wealth gap has reared its head again.

Communism isn't a new idea.

Not as much as it bother liberals.

Total crap.

Conservatives do embrace new ideas but:

1. They don't throw out experience.
2. They are incrementalists.
3. They allow heavily for the law of unintended consequences.

That is why they prefer each state figure things out. If one state does it well...others will follow if it fits.

They are not willing to run grand experiments that affect 325,000,000.

The arrogant left is all to willing to call itself "smart" and does not mind screwing things up royaly.

Right because the Democrats platform of raise taxes, spend more money, and give the government more power and control is so new and original. I doubt either party has had an original idea in my lifetime.

Not entirely true -- conservatives would gladly embrace new ideas if those ideas will take them back to a fantasy time of some 1950's era utopia they keep telling themselves was the last time America was great.

Oh God the liberal IRONY and PROJECTION is off the charts. :auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:

The Democrats pitch the same shit every time too. When is the last time Democrats embraced a truly new idea?
Many candidates run on ideas few candidates have acknowledged in the past such as universal healthcare or making higher education free. Republicans on the other hand just say the same shit literally every election cycle. Are you really going to tell me that isn’t true?

You said new ideas. Those have been the Progressives mantra for generations.

Huh? Who came up with great ideas such as enterprise zones, school choice, charter schools, tax deductions for IRA contributions, health savings accounts, etc., etc.?

And liberal ideas are hardly "new." You can find plenty of "modern" liberal policies in the ancient Roman Empire, including debasing the currency, vastly expanding the size of the central government, giving the government the power to take over or regulate any business as it deemed necessary, rejecting the traditional family as the best practice for society, embracing deviant sexual behavior as being on par with heterosexuality, gay marriage (Nero married a guy), giving the government the power to shut down churches and persecute religious people for non-violent/non-provocative teachings, income redistribution, etc., etc.

they still have many ideas

You say that like it's a good thing ...

Well Soros wants to make life better for you and yours Kids:

Peter Schweizer, author of Do As I Say (Not As I Do), speculates on the possible reasons underlying Soros's support for drug legalization:

“One very possible answer is that he hopes to profit from them [drugs] once they become legal. He has been particularly active in South America, buying up large tracts of land and forging alliances with those in a position to mass-produce narcotics should they become legalized in the United States. He has also helped fund the Andean Council of Coca Leaf producers. Needless to say, this organization would stand to benefit enormously from the legalization of cocaine. He has also taken a 9 percent stake in Banco de Colombia, located in the Colombian drug capital of Cali. The Drug Enforcement Administration has speculated that the bank is being used to launder money and that Soros's fellow shareholders may be members of a major drug cartel.”

Its literally in the definition of conservative.

adjective

1. holding to traditional attitudes and values and cautious about change or innovation, typically in relation to politics or religion.

So I'd say no, it likely doesn't bother them too much.
