We have a divided government and congress controls those purse strings.

All spending bills are supposed to start in the House of Reps. At least according to the constitution.

So if the congress doesn't give him the money for that wall, he has none of our tax dollars to waste on that stupid wall.

Why aren't you demanding that trump keep his word and demand that he get that money from Mexico.

He's had his republican controlled congress for nearly 2 years. Why haven't they given him the money to waste on that stupid wall?

You are correct about the House controlling the purse strings. But the
President signs the checks.

Take a look at the minorities that make up the Dem party. How many of
them are on welfare and food stamps?

What if the GOP bargains for the money with welfare money? One for the
other. What will the Dems do? The GOP won't care...those folks won't vote
for them anyway. They gonna let Trump become fiscally sound and send
20 mil of the Dems into starvation? He'd close the govt down over that in a
heartbeat.

Compromise is both sides conceding something. He may make them an
offer they can't refuse

That wall will never be built. Once the Democrats take control on January 3rd, the Trump presidency will be officially defunded.
