Drivers could see gas below $3 a gallon soon. Thanks Barack

If Presidents had any control over gas prices this might actually mean something. Just out of curiosity if gas prices rise again as they usually do during the holiday season will you blame Obama or the holiday season?

If you don't want a sarcastic answer then don't ask a stupid question.

My question was to those who can actually think beyond partisan talking points surly you know that does not apply to you.

Gas prices have been so high for so long under this President...you people actually think $3 a gallon gas is something to celebrate. That's telling...

America is going to be energy independent by 2030.

Yeah soon as we get rid of Obama and clean out this leftist EPA. Coal, Natural gas, and expanded oil drilling, with Canada and Mex, North America could be energy independent in a few years

National average for a gallon of regular in January of 2009 $1.84 a gallon in October 2013 $3.34 a gallon nothing more needs be said.

Great news for Americans, bad news for Republicans.

Good news for consumers: gasoline prices are falling fast as oil prices plummet.

RBOB gasoline futures — which are traded on the New York Mercantile Exchange — plunged to $2.57 a gallon Wednesday morning, the lowest price since November 2012. Gasoline futures, which have slid 5 percent in the past week alone, have an even greater impact on prices at the pump than crude oil prices.

"It's fourth-quarter demand. There's always less demand for gasoline at the end of the year and that's what you're seeing. Plus there's plenty of supply of gasoline — and oil," said trader Anthony Grisanti of GRZ Energy and a CNBC contributor.

The national average for retail gasoline is $3.34 a gallon, down 4 percent, or 13 cents, from a month ago, according to AAA. In 10 states, prices are below $3.25 a gallon on average — and many drivers in Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas are paying less than $3 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.

"Drivers in nearly half the country could soon find gasoline prices at the pump below $3 a gallon," says Tom Kloza, chief oil analyst at GasBuddy.com. "This is the other shoe dropping. Since September, we saw gasoline prices lose ground even though oil prices were congesting. Now that crude oil prices are dropping, we could soon see retail gasoline prices at the lowest prices since the Arab spring in February 2011— below $3.20 a gallon for the national average."

Let me see if I have this right: Obama is blameless for such phenomenal disasters as the ACA, but he's to be worshiped on high because gas prices fall below $3/gal?
Make up your minds, he's either responsible for all of it, or he's responsible for nothing.

America is going to be energy independent by 2030.

Let me see how this works, Chris?

The Federal lands that Barry controls have a marked decrease in the energy they produce...while the lands that he DOESN'T control have a substantial increase in the energy they produce...but Obama's THE GUY!!!

Gee, just think what we could do if we had a President that wasn't looking for $6 a gallon gasoline?

Eastern Gulf of Mexico... OFF LIMITS.
ANWR.... Fergeddaboudit.
Coastal OCS.... ain't gonna happen.

Obama has our resources locked up tighter'n a drum.

Happy to see the pump price fall.
However it's still more than a dollar per gallon higher than when Obama took office.

Only Barack Obama could get away with pushing the energy policies he has...most of which deliberately drove up the price of energy in the US...and then claiming responsibility for energy production that occurred on lands he didn't have control over. If he'd had his way...and he was quite honest about this...we'd have $6 a gallon gas right now because THAT would make the alternative sources of energy that he LOVES so much, be economically viable. The fact that it would devastate our economy when millions of Americans are out of work for long periods of time...once again due to his failed economic policies...doesn't seem to matter to Barry. But then again...why should it? He's living large in the White House, while the people he pretends to want to help, the Middle Class, are taking it right in the shorts. Those poor saps are about to get hit by the costs of ObamaCare and thanks to the lies put forth by progressives...they don't even know it's coming!

If gasoline drops belong $3 a gallon in my area, Obama will become very very popular.

Does the president set gas prices?

The President has the power to affect gas prices with policy, Pauli. This one has consistently appointed people to positions of power in dealing with our energy policy that are "anti-fossil fuel". When you've got the EPA acting independently of Congress at the behest of this President to enforce regulations that drive up the price of energy...then YES the President is part of the problem with price increases.

The president sets policies that affect gas prices. With the carnage obama is creating in the middle east, we might be happy to get gas at any price.

So Obozo is responsible for this modest drop, but not responsible for the fact that it's been overpriced by at least $1.00 per gallon for the last five years.......
