EPA To Alaskans In Sub-Zero Temps: Stop Burning Wood To Keep Warm

What will the EPA replace the wood with? Or, do they expect Alaskans to freeze to death?
This....

Freeze to death, and not kidding.

I actually have an idea, I think it might work. If we could get some left wing asshole (like slick willy) to convince the stupid sheep (must be in the billions) to commit mass suicide to "save the planet" I will bet we could succeed in culling the herd signficantly. Get mass hype behind it. Make it a grand day, where they take a big gulp of poisoned kool aid. I am telling you, billions will do it. Billions.

Aren't we cleansing the planet of muslims?

FTom the article: The New York Times reports the Environmental Protection Agency could soon declare the Alaskan cities of Fairbanks and North Pole, which have a combined population of about 100,000, in “serious” noncompliance of the Clean Air Act early next year.

So, let's recap. This paper says the EPA could do something but hasn't done anything. What happens to you when something actually happens?
So let's recap. Liberal elitist douchebags are weighing their options to interfere with people on the edge of the world for no reason other than they can.

Real champions of the people

Give the man some clean air, he really needs it!

What should be known about these extreme environmentalists is that they refer to humanity as the ultimate pollutant that must be removed at all costs. Without people nature would live in perfect harmony, apparently...

Whereas the corporate statists merely view human beings as commodities. And the two concerns are tussling for control.

There's a reason! It's because they're evil whether they do it or not. Both evil. Such bad

Apparently heating oil is too expensive and natural gas is not available.

Do they still make electric blankets?

Maybe they should burn some coal???

EPA To Alaskans In Sub-Zero Temps: Stop Burning Wood To Keep Warm

In Jack London’s famous short story, “To Build A Fire,” a man freezes to death because he underestimates the cold in America’s far north and cannot build a proper fire. The unnamed man—a chechaquo, what Alaska natives call newcomers—is accompanied by a wolf-dog that knows the danger of the cold and is wholly indifferent to the fate of the man. “This man did not know cold. Possibly, all the generations of his ancestry had been ignorant of cold, of real cold, of cold 107 degrees below freezing point. But the dog knew; all its ancestry knew, and it had inherited the knowledge.”

If only the bureaucrats in Washington DC knew what the wolf-dog knew. But alas, now comes the federal government to tell the inhabitants of Alaska’s interior that, really, they should not be building fires to keep themselves warm during the winter. The New York Times reports the Environmental Protection Agency could soon declare the Alaskan cities of Fairbanks and North Pole, which have a combined population of about 100,000, in “serious” noncompliance of the Clean Air Act early next year.
Well, that's pretty dramatic. Most everyone around here has at least one wood or pellet stove, as backup if not a primary source of heat, and a lot have multi-fuel heat systems that can burn oil or wood, whichever is cheaper that year. I do love the smell of it when you pass a home burning wood. Brings back memories; all the old timers burned wood and a lot still cooked on them. The EPA hasn't shut us down yet; no one in Alaska is going to freeze.

Liberals don't look at the earth as a planet God created for humans, they look at humans as an intruder.

You are confused. That's not my God, that's Obama's.

Except fishery regulations won't allow for whales to be used for fuel anymore...

Real Alaskans don't heat with wood.

'Cause there are no trees where real Alaskans live.

Instead they heat with rendered whale blubber oil. They tried liberal blubber but quickly found that is composed entirely of tears and won't burn.

I suppose it doesn't matter which god created it, genocide is still not the way forward. Or if you believe it is - please start by removing yourself. By all accounts, you are a waste of the clean oxygen we have indeed.

If I lived up in Alaska I would kill polar bears and burn them for heat…

Global Warming from wood stoves in Alaska more important to address than the immediate well being of the Alaskans.

How do the wood burning stoves in Alaska compare to wildfires in the lower 48 with regards to total greenhouse gases released?

Please quote the part of that fascinating site that says the installation of new wood burning stoves or fireplaces is banned. That is total bull-oney, friend.
The way the EPA nudged us away from woodsmoke, which they have pointed out for decades is worse for the atmosphere than vehicle emissions, is to heavily invest in heating conversions and weatherizing homes. Absolutely NO ONE is prevented from using their grandfather's old Ben Franklin if that's what they've already got. If they buy a new wood stove or furnace, it will be cleaner burning and it is the manufacturers and installers who need to worry about that.

Tell google, 3rd one down under that link
epa bans wood burning stoves - Google Search
And it is under-
Santa Clara County and The City of Palo Alto, CAEXIT - Burn bans: Stage 1, use only certified stoves; Stage 2, use wood stove only if it's the primary heat source. The installation of new wood-burning stoves or fireplaces is banned.
