Comey clearly said that nothing in the DOJ supported Trump's stupid tweets.

Comely clearly said that yes the FBI was investigation Russian hacking (that there was clearly no question about that) and the possibility of their collusion with Trump associates in the campaign.

The trouble is that the state run media aka FoxNews has bad poll numbers for Trump. His approval/disapproval stands at 41/53. He is only +3 in approval/disapproval for the economy. He is at negative approval for immigration, dealing with Russia, health care and terrorism. Only a third of voters believe that his revised EO on immigration will protect America.
