Firing Mueller would be rational- only if Trump is guilty

President Trump is really, really, really pissed off that Mueller is investigating Russia and the Trump campaign.

But really- is the investigation actually harming Trump? No.
It is an irritation, and one he lashes out about- but it is not preventing him from firing his cabinet members, or proposing tax cuts or agreeing to talk to North Korea.

So there is no rational reason why Trump would want to fire Mueller- unless Trump is guilty.

Firing Robert Mueller Would Hurt Trump More Than Help | National Review

Moving at this point would be rational only if Trump feared some thermonuclear revelation that wouldn’t be survivable. It’s not clear what, in the current news and political environment, that would be. Everything is so perishable, and Trump has such a strong hold on his party’s base, he could presumably weather almost anything

If Trump fires Mueller- it will either be further evidence that Trump is not rational- or it will be further evidence of Trump's guilt- of something.
There is no rational reason for Mueller to continue the investigation since by this time it is clear that there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government unless Mueller is simply a political shill trying to generate negative headlines about Trump despite the fact he has no evidence to support them. If Mueller were an honorable man, as many thought he was at the beginning of the investigation, he would close the investigation and resign.

And you know this- how?

Do you have access to all of the testimony that Mueller has heard?
Do you have access to all of the documents that Mueller has read?

Mueller hasn't been the one trying to generate headlines- he hasn't been the one playing this up to the press- Donald Trump is the one playing this up to the press- with his public attacks on Mueller and the investigation.
So you opinion is not based on what you know about the investigation but on what you don't know. By your reasoning, everyone is legitimately a suspect for everything unless he can prove he is innoccent..

By your 'reasoning', no one should ever be investigated for anything unless there is a photo of him giving a blowjob to Putin.

There was a legitimate cause for action for this investigation. Mueller continues that investigation and none of us know what he has found yet.

I think Mueller should finish his investigation- and Trump is not guilty of collusion- so should you.
Not just according to me, but according to the law. Police and prosecutors need probable cause to continue investigations that produce no results after a few yeas or such investigations are considered harassment and are subject to legal action against the police and prosecutors. By appointing a special counsel with poorly defined authority, Mueller is protected against such law suits, If Mueller cannot produce any evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, he should do the honorable thing and close his investigation, turning whatever he has over to the Justice Department and the FBI. If you had any respect for our system of democracy or for the rule of law, you would agree with me.

No, that's not how "the law" works.

Probable cause is required for warrants.

There's no defined clock for how long an investigation can go on.

No, you are mistaken. If a evidence cannot be presented to show a reasonable basis for the investigation, it is called police or prosecutorial harassment. Based on the evidence collected after over two years of investigation, the purpose of this investigation is certainly harassment.

The funny thing is that Trump is probably more scared about Mueller finding things that have nothing to do with Russia. Like all the times he's hired people to have sex with him.

'Firing Mueller would be rational- only if Trump is guilty'

NO evidence a crime was ever committed warranting an investigation.

NO evidence a crime was ever committed warranting an investigation on Trump.

NO evidence of illegal collusion found.

NO evidence of a crime committed by Trump.

NO crime of actual illegal collusion committed by any Trump campaign member tied to Trump.

NO indictment of a Trump associate tied to Trump.

Illegal use of un-verified foreign date obtained from a foreign spy working with Russians to obtain FISA warrants to spy on a GOP Presidential campaign during an election - perpetrated by a proven criminally biased FBI who was working for / on behalf of Hillary Clinton, the DNC FELON candidate who has been proven to HAVE broken laws but NOT having proven to have won her Party's nomination without cheating and engaging gin criminal activity to do so.

-- The indictment of Papadapoulos, a self-important un-paid Trump campaign volunteer was set up and turned in by a huge Clinton Supporter and donor. (Yeah, the 'Australian Ambassador' who told the FBI about Papa's 'overheard drunken conversation' in a British Pub's bathroom was not only the same man Papa met with but was also a HUGE Hillary supporter and donor. Coincidence? Bwuhahahaha!)

Ethical, Professional Investigative and Prosecutorial misconduct...

After 2 years the only crimes that have been exposed are those perpetrated by Democrats, and Mueller's ;crime-busting' team is ignoring them because they only have eyes for Trump.

His firing has already been justified multiple times over....much like was Strzok's by Mueller himself.

Bwuhahahaha.....

Mueller, according to NOT-Syrius, sucks so badly as a Special Counsel lead that after going on 2 years he can't even prove a crime was committed warranting his investigation/ / Counsel. let alone Trump was involved in any crime...but he wants 2 more years to try to find something.

Mueller is so incompetent, as he has demonstrated, that he does not even know a crime when he sees it...because all his investigation has uncovered are DEMOCRAT crimes, which Mueller criminally partisanly continues to ignore and refuses to investigate, proving this is a partisan witch hunt.

Sorry, NOT-Syrius, Mueller / Libs / snowflakes have had over a year of full, sore-loser, butt-hurt, election result denying freedom to find the crimes and illegal Russian collusion that is so obvious according to you but has found ZILCH!

Time to wrap up the election-denying, hate-driven crusade and get back to focusing on a US govt that actually is successfully making America great again while erasing every failed / criminal Obama 'fundamental change' legacy item.

Reminding everyone once again of the Whitewater investigation.......

What happened in that one? Oh yeah, everyone involved - everyone around the Clintons went to jail except the Clintons. The only reason it took 4 years was because that's how long it took for libs and Clinton defenders to make sure they did not join their fellow criminals in jail.

Did Trump try to fire Mueller? Behind the scenes of president's dispute with his legal team

The burden is always on the police and prosecution to show reasonable cause to believe an investigation is warranted, and not a single people of evidence has been produced in over two years to show any reasonable basis for believing there was collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

I'm not mistaken. You don't understand the law.

Most importantly, no one is obligated to present evidence to you.

You don't know what evidence Mueller has collected, and he's under no obligation to prove himself to you. For every warrant he gets, he has to show probable cause to a judge - not to you. You will find out what evidence he has collected at the same time as everyone else - when he concludes the investigation.

So that explains why Trump is taking so long to meet with Mueller- he is busy making sure he doesn't go to jail with his fellow criminals.....

LOL- you know for a partisan nutcase who keeps claiming that there is absolutely no evidence that Trump colluded with Russia- you are more than happy to refuse to believe the actual conclusion of the Whitewater investigation that concluded that the Clinton's broke no law in Arkansas.

But they don't want Mueller to conclude the investigation.

They just want him to stop investigating.

Like I said in my OP- there is no rational reason for Trump to find Mueller- unless he is worried that Mueller will find:
Bwuhahahaha.....

Mueller, according to NOT-Syrius, sucks so badly as a Special Counsel lead that after going on 2 years he can't even prove a crime was committed warranting his investigation/ .

Hmmm lets see how many lies in that post:

Robert Mueller, Former F.B.I. Director, Is Named Special Counsel for Russia Investigation
By REBECCA R. RUIZ and MARK LANDLERMAY 17, 2017

s a Special Counsel lead that after going on 2 years he can't even prove

Robert Mueller has been the Special Counsel for less than a year- like Trump- you are sure willing to provide 'alternative facts'

he can't even prove a crime was committed warranting his investigation

Mueller has already gotten three guilty pleas- to at least three crimes. And is on track to take a fourth to trial.

But no surprise that a Trumpster will lie for his Dear Leader.

Again- exactly what is your source inside Mueller's investigation to show that Mueller has no basis for his investigation?
The burden is always on the police and prosecution to show reasonable cause to believe an investigation is warranted, and not a single people of evidence has been produced in over two years to show any reasonable basis for believing there was collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. This allegation, now clearly with no basis in fact, was the only reason for apointing a special counsel and now that we know there is no evidence of collusion there is no reasom for a special prosecutor

If Mueller can't find any evidence of crimes or collusion or anything else- he should finish his investigation and report that to the Justice Department and that should be shared with the public. Of course if Mueller does find evidence of crimes- oh wait- he has found evidence of crimes.......

If you had any respect for our system of democracy or for the rule of law, you would agree with me.
Disabuse yourself of the notion you are clever. Mueller has found absolutely no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and teh Russian government.

And you know this how?

Specifically?
Not a single piece of evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government has been produced in over two years of investigation but the FBI and Justice Department, and so it is reasonable to conclude there is none.
