Florida allows teens to buy an AR 15 , no gun license needed.

Well that's funny. That's the impression I get every time I watch some idiotic movie cranked out by the gun-hating liberal Hollywood movie industry. They seem to relish gun violence and the irresponsible use of firearms. Yet at the same time, the actors, actresses, producers, and scriptwriters preach to us that we shouldn't have the right to own them.

Is that two-faced or what?

Liar . Wanting gun control doesn’t equal BAN ALL GUNS !

How come righties aren’t so obsessed with voting rights like you are wh gun rights ?

We already have gun control. We have laws, and we have penalties for breaking those laws.

In some states .

Better gun control would’ve stopped Cruz from killing 17.

How do you know that? 17 people can be killed a week in CHicago, and they have the strictest gun laws.

Because those guns came from do nothing gun count states like Florida.

Wrong. You can't legally purchase firearms across state lines and bring them into Illinois. Therefore the existing laws don't work.

And, in today's news, it turns out that the Georgia teacher who fired his gun in class this week is wacko, but the school did not know it. He torched his own car a couple of years back, and the police took three rifles away from him.

What kind of car was it? If it was a Chrysler product, he sounds perfectly sane to me!

Mitsubishi Outlander ...

But, If I understood the report correctly ... He had also previously turned himself in to police and confessed to killing someone.
No charges were filed in that incident ... But the guy was clearly nuts.

.

No the lax security at the school allowed a person who had absolutely no business in the school to just walk in and start shooting
That's what I don't understand. How does a dude smuggle a rifle into a school? Down his pants?

I am not convinced he acted alone.

I heard somewhere that he banged on a door and some kid just let him in.

This is why all doors need to be locked and need to be secured so only a teacher can open them.

If this idiot had only one way to get in that was monitored and secured the whole thing could have been avoided.

Yeah, that always works great in case of a fire or other reason you have to get out of the school!

Your link is is a website for a company selling security equipment!

Dumbass! They are trying to sell you shit that won't work and might get MORE people killed.

Wow you illustrate once again why you are too fucking stupid to teach.

It's not fucking rocket science to have doors open automatically if a fire alarm is pulled and if there is a fire alarm pulled aren't the teachers supposed to lead the kids out?
So tell me how only giving teachers the ability to open emergency doors with either a key or a key card going to hamper exit in an emergency?

For any non emergency teachers and students alike can exit via one set of doors.

The doors are unlocked to exit If they are locked to exit, you get piles of bodies! Google what happens when you lock emergency exits in a restaurant, nightclub or school.

That doesn't mean that you cannot simply open a door to let someone in, or have them hand you a bag containing who know what to carry out a reign of terror. You solve NOTHiNG by locking the door from the inside except killing occupants in an emergency.

No, teachers do not lead kids out! They follow behind to make sure they get out! Then, we take attendance to make sure we didn't lose anyone. Did you ever attend a public school or were you raised by opossums in a hollow log?

It is amazing that you are allowed to use a computer! What time do they shut off your Internet access at the Home of the Terminally Bewildered? You are too fucking stupid to carry a conversation! I am done with your idiocy!

Are the patrons of a night club escorted out by people with authority to open doors? No.

And you give more proof that you are too stupid to teach because I specifically mentioned that all emergency doors can be tied to the alarm system so as to open in an emergency but will stay locked at all other times. And really how hard is it to have school staff in the areas of emergency exits open the doors manually in case of emergency?

You display an utter lack of ability to plan for contingencies which is why you are convinced that leaving every single door unlocked and unmonitored is unavoidable

Automatic locking doors are not a problem.

They have systems and protocols that make it extremely easy for any individual teachers to open the door.
I won't explain the details ... Because that could be used to defeat the purpose.

It's also a lot easier to accomplish a suitable solution when you think of how something doesn't work ...
Just long enough to identify how you are going to make it work better.

You will find that if you do the research (which you obviously have not) that it is universally illegal to lock fire exits fro the inside in any way, shape or form. You seem to forget that I was an assistant principal and hold a Master's degree in school administration. I know what the heck I am talking about!

"Exit Door Locks
Because some exit doors are located in places that could present security issues for your business, OSHA permits doors that cannot be opened from outside -- those that use a "panic bar" or "crash bar." Your employees must be able to open the door from inside without any special knowledge or effort during an emergency without needing to use any keys or other tools or by electronic means; automatic doors must have a manual release, for example. The only exceptions are for certain mental or corrective institutions that have security personnel and specific emergency procedures."

I see that you and EmptySkullPilot went to the same school of dumbassery!

You too are not professionals, so why don't you go somewhere, be quiet, and learn from the master.

"Florida teens". Interesting phrase typical of the left that thrives on cliches, hate speech and half truths. A 13, 14, 15, 16, or 17 year old Florida teenager can't legally buy a firearm but an 18 year old can vote and join the Military and purchase a firearm. Is the left saying an 18 year old is mature enough to elect the most powerful man in the world and handle WMD's in the Military but not mature enough to purchase a firearm?

Florida barley has any laws at all !

Gun laws in Florida - Wikipedia

At first I wondered how Cruz was approved for a license. Turns out ya don’t need one ! You can get An AR , but have to wait till 21 for a handgun . With little restrictions.

And the cons there blame the sheriff and fbi for failing . What legal tools does Florida supply that they can use to stop nuts and criminals from packing ?
Because teens never get frustrated or angry.

You obviously have more than one teacher able to open the doors. Or you have battery back ups for the door locks. When was the last time anyone was "overcome by smoke" in a school fire. Hell when was the last school fire that occurred when the building was occupied?

And FYI there have been no school fore fatalities since 1958 because fire detection and sprinkler system technology is about as good as it gets.

And you answered your own question in that quote from OSHA

You have to implement "specific emergency procedures"

I guess every state is scrambling with legislation right now... I've been calling and receiving calls from a number of our legislators here in VT. As it stands right now a 16 yo can purchase a handgun w/o any guardian consent. No age minimum to purchase a long gun (AR-15) included. We have never had any "significant" issues thus far in the state, with hardly any gun related homicide / violence (per capita comparison of course)...

It's the way the kids are brought up.

Pistol age has been 21 in FL for a good many years now.

I suppose now the rifle age will be too. Sad, because I could buy a rifle when I was 18.

I partly agree. The gun nut culture has created a disrespect for guns in those states . Like owning a gun is frivolous, and not a serious responsibility.

Because if we let you control our weapons, soon all weapons will be controlled.. You miserable fucks never are satisfied, which is why we saw the Rep Congressmen shot, and the young children at the Country Western event shot up in Las Vegas. Instead of debating the issue of liberal compassion and allowing mentally ill people to walk amongst US not be put away, we will continue to see shootings. Not the weapon, but the person behind it is the problem..

Exactly. Now place yourself in Parkland, you notice this and you inform the principal. He has a sit down chat with the student, they talk about and plan further interventions, they encourage the student to talk about his feeling and then turn him loose with scheduled appointments to talk further.

Days later, bang bang.

Nice story, brau.... This kid had been suspended / expelled. He was known to be disgruntled. He was reported on by his neighbors. The Sheriff and deputies had been called on him over 40 times. The FBI had been called on him.

At some point between sheriff / deputy visit #25 or so and 'bang, bang' the 'intervention' that was needed was him being taken in for evaluation and/or questioning while his place of residence was searched. MORE could have been done. More should have been done. The ball was seriously dropped....

You just described the PROMISE program.
Evidently NOT...he was never taken into custody, never had his place searched, never forcibly given a psych eval, never had his social media researched after someone reported seeing his name on social media threatening violence, etc...

Nothing was done about that, but HuffPo slandering a teacher and calling her racist, gets her fired in a few days. They have a lawsuit incoming.

In answer to your obviously ignorant question, school fires happen all the time. We had a fire in our occupied building in 2006. The sprinkler did NOT put out the fire. We had a fire in my school last year caused by welding in a shop class. No sprinkler worked there either. How about electrical fires? Do you think sprinklers put them out or make them worse?

Now, I suggest ending your diatribe before you prove that your IQ is sliding downward towards a room temperature range or get yourself to a doctor and have yourself checked for Alzheimer's because your brain is not functioning properly.

I am being serious when I say that I haven't seen a case of "stupid" this bad in a poster in quite a while. You need help!

ooooh the rule I gave you the part of the rule that said exceptions can be made when a specific plan is in place

rules can be changed you know

I never knew anyone so against simple security in my life

Let me guess you're one of those idiots who never locks his doors at home right?

What if that system fails? What if the power is cut? What is the teacher falls down or is overcome by smoke?

OSHA Regulations for a Door That Is to Remain Unlocked During Business Hours

Now, toddle off and lick your wounds, dumbass!

Why are you such a dumbass? I gave you the rule! Are you intentionally stupid or just being an asshole? Those specific emergency procedures are for jails and other institutions where people are normally locked inside.

And you are just simple enough to not read for comprehension

None of those so called rules are insurmountable you just can't think past the words on the page

Because if we let you control our weapons, soon all weapons will be controlled.. You miserable fucks never are satisfied, which is why we saw the Rep Congressmen shot, and the young children at the Country Western event shot up in Las Vegas. Instead of debating the issue of liberal compassion and allowing mentally ill people to walk amongst US not be put away, we will continue to see shootings. Not the weapon, but the person behind it is the problem..

True. Oswald could have accomplished the same goal with an extremely long knife, and Charles Whitman, of Texas Tower fame, could have done the same thing with martial arts throwing stars.

Oswald used a bolt action rifle, not a semi auto, did you not know that? Want to ban bolt action rifles, tard? Just fucked your argument some more.
