Florida Gov. Signs Bill...Booberry Al Sharpton Don’t Be Liken It’s

it's a bull sh t law, meant to disenfranchise citizens and their vote, a poll tax....

and it just says F YOU to the Florida voters who voted per referendum, to reinstate voter rights after their time served, NOT after the bills and fees are slapped on them.... and paid

typical republican politicians... always doing what it takes, cheating included, to keep themselves in office....
Fines and the like are part of sentencing.
Your hyperbole is noted.
bull crap, the vote was for after they served their TIME, reinstate their right to vote

NOT pay their fines for room and board etc

Felony: $534 million

Misdemeanor: $65.6 million

Traffic: $136 million
South Florida felons owe a billion dollars in fines — and that will affect their ability to vote

do misdemeanors and traffic fines have to pay up to be eligible to vote?
Misdemeanor and civil offenders do not lose their right to vote...

----------------------------------
Florida Republicans, just nullified the VOTE OF THE PEOPLE via referendum, by adding this fines paid up thing to it....

And THAT is what is completely arrogant and utter, bull crud from the politicians...

That is considered serving their time. It's part of sentencing.

No, it is not part of their TIME served.

They should, unless their fine is paid up, since its all about money.

Including parole or probation, it did not mention paying fines....

And are you saying that if a felon has not paid back their fines by the time their parole or probation period is over and they served their time, the ex felons do NOT get to leave and exit probation until they have paid up on their fees for room and board etc?

It's part of their conviction. Sentencing.
You are playing on words not concepts.

Only the Rich and Famous felons who were imprisoned for stealing all of your retirement funds and left you broke, can get their voting rights back after leaving prison and probation.....

Wow! that's a doozy...

For instance, if they dont pay fines, they go back to jail or they stay on parole. Until they do. But their parole officer will eventually lock them back up. Do they take away their right to vote again?
This was the logical thing to do. I know emotion gets in the way of that....

Only the Jeffrey Epstein's, who rape young teen women and who have money, can get their voting rights back after serving their time.... money money money money-money! Money rules!

You are too emotional and not logical enough.

How long does it take the average ex-felon in Florida, to pay those fees?

What was the purpose of the amendment, if it takes a lifetime for felons to pay it back?

AND at any time the govt can simply raise fees higher and higher, defeating the purpose of the amendment?

If you want to fix fines and court costs, fix it. Dont overlook it and create MORE problems with more legislation.
The emotional NEVER think.

They cant take on more fees unless they dont make their payments.
It wont take a lifetime or they will end back up jail or prison.
