Anyone who committed suicide with a gun would have used another method if a gun was unavailable as is born out by the fact that half of the people who kill themselves do not use a gun

Guns are not "safety devices" guns are weapons and all guns have safeties by design

Not sure that is accurate. Does Florida have the highest gun murder rate? What has happened to the gun murder rate over the years?

Washington DC has a gun murder rate of around 12 per 100,000 people. And they have some of the strictest gun laws in the country.

I think the issue is far more complicated than a simple correlation between gun murders and population size.
