We were taught the history and they are now right up to the moment. It’s a falsehood to state we want that stopped

Okay, let's use that analogy. Let's say your Great Grandfather was a serial killer, but he made his fortune from his crimes... if you are still benefiting from his crimes, then you should feel guilty.
