Apparently, it is not actually required that the Speaker of the House be a member of Congress. Anyone whom the House of Representatives chooses to elect by a majority can be the Speaker. So far, it has always been a member of the House of Representatives to be elected to that position, but nothing in the Constitution requires it.

It is almost certain that Republicans will have a majority after the next election cycle, and that it will therefore be a Republican who gets elected as Speaker.

Whether a solid enough majority of them would support electing Donald Trump to that position is another question, but it is certainly plausible.

Incorrect. One does not need to be an elected member of the congress to become Speaker of the House

While I am 100% certain that the framers' intention was clearly that the Speaker would be chosen from among the current members of the House, and that the constitution therefore does indeed demand it, there is also no means to enforce it. Because the constitution also states that each house is to be the sole judge of its members qualifications. Thus, only the House of Representatives itself could actually decide the question.
