Gasoline Below $3.00 A Gallon; Thank You Mr. President

What we do need is to stop allowing the right and oil companies lying to us about what the energy situation in the world is and what we need.
We need to invest into renewable (here is the swear word to the rightwing), and charge into the 21st century and stop living in the 19th.

Try to wrap your mind around this Catch - 22 for the American consumer.
The low prices could deter investment in production, which will eventually hurt supply, the agency's chief economist Fatih Birol said.
Deutsche Bank said recently that 40% of U.S. shale oil production scheduled for 2015 would be "uneconomic" if prices drop below $80 a barrel.
And....."The world is relying on a small number of producers, it warned, pointing to the uncertainty caused by the turmoil in the Middle East and the crisis in Ukraine."
If this doesn't say we need to get off the teat of the oil industry.

So much for the GOP slogan, "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less."
The Republicans knew it was a lie when they coined it. I was just a Right-wing electioneering lie.

In the 1990's, you socialists declared war on incandescent light bulbs. Now granted,t he REAL motive was the payolla Clinton and other top dims were getting from China - incandescent bulbs were made in America and the Chinese bribed Clinton and the other looters to kill the domestic industry.

What you socialists gave us was the crap CFL bulbs, as toxic as the are shitty - but never get between a democrat and a bribe..

Fast forward, and the white LED comes along, pure warm light, more efficient than CFL, no mercury in them. A truly superior product to incandescent - suddenly, no on needs to coerce the public to buy them, because it is a better product.

Renewable energy is the same story - you socialists offer shitty alternatives and use laws to force compliance with your mandates.

You want people to move off oil? Offer a viable alternative - not some electric car with a 30 mile range and a 6 hour charge time, but a viable alternative.

You know, someone with a little forethought might solve problems. There are alternatives that are completely viable and accessible.
But obstructionists like yourself always block innovation. And you still don't understand that the oil industry runs your life.
My, try reading and educating yourself.

I think everyone should live where they want to live, which includes them paying for it.

I had to ask, given your condemnation of him based on his decision to live away from a major city.
I didn't condemn him or his decisions, by contrast I rejected having to pay for his decisions. This is not a subtle difference. Are you just trolling? If he wants to pull his full weight he can do whatever he wants... if he wants me to pull his weight for him... yeah well then I paid for the right to complain.

60% in Republican Texas town that is the birthplace of fracking & has been supported by fracking just voted to ban it.

Bush signed EO12777 banning drilling. Horizontal fracking setback borders were enforced under Republicans, not under Obama.

Republicans president Nixion enacted price controls, EPA & killed US oil production in the 1970's. Us oil production has declined under every Republican president since.

Why do you blatantly lie like this?

Is Denton a "Republican Town" or is it home to two left-wing Universities?

Uncensored is lying.

The information and the links are accurate.

JakeTheFake calling someone a liar !

Now that is ironic.

Jake tells the truth in his imaginary world.

Just a little something people might have missed OPEC voted not to cut oil production which is one of the reasons gas prices continued to fall. What do you think the impact on prices will be if and when they do vote to cut production?

Think about this: ISIS terrorists have taken over oil fields/ refineries to fund their islamo- fascism and that might have something to do with cheap oil prices now...think about that. It's all fungible. Who is going to know the difference?

Like most right wing teabaggers, you can't understand that everything isn't black or white. Reasonable profit is reasonable. Gouging is not. Ask your teacher to explain.

So-called goughing only occurs when people are silly enough to pay for something they feel is overpriced.

Don't like gas prices...ride a bike or take the bus.

Oil companies only make that money because we are willing to pay the prices they want...which...as economics will tell you....is the prices that will clear all the product they have to sell.

Simple.

Gasoline and oil are actually as commodity as it gets.

You know not driving is only an option in urban areas. In a vast majority of the country, that just isn't possible.

It does not change the fact that if you are paying for something you agreed to be gouged.

If you chose to live in the country....you are exposed to the issues of price swings.

Nobody puts a gun to your head and makes you pump gas.

You really don't get it do you? If you are in the small minority who have bus service or can walk everywhere you need to go, you have that choice. The vast majority of the country doesn't. Transportation isn't just an option.
ROFL who's making you live out in the boondocks?
God lets me live in his boodocks.

I love it.

Well, the Peasantpimp DID set Isis up with all that US Ordinance and Cash...going as far as killing a US Ambassador and three Americans, injuring dozens more at Benghazi to let them keep those guns... and they are busy dumping oil onto the market, and he IS a proponent of Islam and Islam IS dumping oil onto the Market and he does stand against the US Energy Exploration business which IS being harmed by Islamic dumping of Oil on the Open Market...

So, yeah... I can give the Peasantpimp credit for this one.

And I gotta say: I am enjoyin' the hell out of it. So Good Job Mr. Peasantpimp! 1 for 2,936,459. Beats gettin' skunked I guess.

The price of oil falling is two things....1) US domestic oil supply is up thanks to oil permits put in place during Bush's terms in office and 2) the world economy slowing down thus demand for oil being down.

Supply going up and demand going down means a drop in prices....that is basic Econ 101.

Says Listening, one of those I truly love exposing as a liar, which I do almost every L posts, like above.

It hurts you to lie, L, so stop it, hon.

Yeah, the difference can be followed, MaryL.

OPEC is afraid to cut production because it does not want to lose market share.

Russia is facing a major recession, because half of its GDP comes from energy production.

China, Brazil, and India are cutting back because their industrialization effort is softening right now.

The US is awash in oil because of increased barrel production over the last 5 years, almost a 45 % increase.

I am not so sure , oil prices just dropped after ISIS got sudden access to the oil industry through stolen oil processes, I don't find that a coincidence. I find it odd though that you need to explain otherwise....
