Gasoline Below $3.00 A Gallon; Thank You Mr. President

With that all that he managed was to spend a trillion dollars on a stimulus that didn't stimulate the economy and a health care bill that was supposed to make healthcare cheaper for the Middle Class but instead made it more expensive!
It's hard to have a discussion in the face of blatant falsehoods. Sorry.

You mean it's hard to have a discussion with those who don't drink the Obama Kool Aid? Divide the amount spent on the stimulus by the number of jobs actually created and tell me how much each one cost us taxpayers? Then explain how THAT was anything but a complete failure! Once you get done doing that, Synth...show me how much Middle Class Americans are paying for their healthcare now...and explain why they haven't seen the $2,500 per family savings that they were promised by Barry!
Like I said: You can't have an intelligent conversation when the other party disregards facts, history, and reality:

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/23/opinion/sunday/what-the-stimulus-accomplished.html

Of all the myths and falsehoods that Republicans have spread about President Obama, the most pernicious and long-lasting is that the $832 billion stimulus package did not work. Since 2009, Republican lawmakers have inextricably linked the words “failed” and “stimulus,” and last week, five years after passage of the Recovery Act, they dusted off their old playbook again.

“The ‘stimulus’ has turned out to be a classic case of big promises and big spending with little results,”wrote Speaker John Boehner. “Five years and hundreds of billions of dollars later, millions of families are still asking, ‘where are the jobs?’ ”

The stimulus could have done more good had it been bigger and more carefully constructed. But put simply, it prevented a second recession that could have turned into a depression. It created or saved an average of 1.6 million jobs a year for four years. (There are the jobs, Mr. Boehner.) It raised the nation’s economic output by 2 to 3 percent from 2009 to 2011. It prevented a significant increase in poverty — without it, 5.3 million additional people would have become poor in 2010.

And now, you'll just attack the messenger, put your hands over your ears and say "nyah, nyah, I can't hear you".

Of course, you now have to attack ALL the messengers:

Anytime someone tries to float that "jobs created...or saved" line of bullshit past me, Synth...I don't attack the messenger...I laugh at them!

That "jobs saved" statistic was created by the Obama White House to hide how few jobs were actually created by the Obama Stimulus. Why? Because the stimulus failed to create jobs...failed miserably in fact.

The gas should offset the rise in Obamacare.
Oh, so cheap gasoline should cancel out high health insurance premiums? :dunno:

Why don't we stick it to the "God-made" farmer and pull the rug out from under his ass? Let's end generations of multi-billion dollar agricultural entitlements so that grocery prices will come down. Fewer farmers means less national debt and less pollution too. We should import cheap foreign food and return the hundreds of millions of acres of polluting farms to their original vast and verdant swaths of prairie grasses, forests, swamps, and waterways.

"Gas" turns this world. Something so useful, so valuable, and such an integral component of our gross domestic product should not be inexpensive - it should be priceless.

The gas should offset the rise in Obamacare.

It does...
That doesn't mean that Barry had anything to do with cheaper oil prices. Quite the contrary actually!
What's ironic is the most anti fossil fuels President we've probably ever had...would have had absolutely abysmal economic numbers if it weren't FOR the fossil fuels industry!

It's actually below $2.90 a gallon in SW Houston.

Obama's Fault.

Gas prices could drop toward $1 a gallon

Gasoline prices are driven mostly by four factors: oil prices, proximity to refineries, refinery capacity and state taxes and levies. Oil prices have dropped below $33 a barrel and continue to collapse. The recent decision bySaudi Arabia to continue to keep its oil exports high essentially has dissolved the OPEC cartel. The decision also has forced the kingdom to chop its 2016 budget. This ongoing supply glut guarantees oversupply of crude. At the same time, slowing national economies in the largest countries, including China, will lower demand. China now tops the list of oil importers, according to the Financial Times, having moved ahead of the United States.

You shouldn't thank Obama...thank Saudi Arabia! THEY dissolved the Oil Cartel.

No they didn't. OPEC is alive and well.

Essentially dissolved is not the same as actually dissolved. They still exist, but have no combined power to affect prices right now. And for that, thank you, President Obama (praise be unto Him!)

So, just what did Obummer do that the Cartel has no power? BTW, "has no combined power" is "essentially dissolved."

You've shown zero proof that Barack Obama has done anything to lower gas prices, Synth. Right now you're just a babbling sycophant repeating a narrative that's laughably untrue.

While a president doesn't have much impact on the price of gas, Obama has had an impact on lowering prices. Imposing higher fuel efficiency on automobiles has reduced the rate of consumption and the deal with Iran has increased the level of oil on the market, which contributes to lowering prices.

Especially when the economy was so bad, people could buy those fuel efficient cars. Riiiight.

My car is relatively new and the mileage is not that good. Would guess under 20.

Please, Faun...you embarrass yourself when you come here with that kind of nonsense! People not working and not being able to afford to put gas into their vehicles has had as big an impact on the rate of consumption as any Obama regulation on fuel efficiency!
Why is US Oil Consumption Lower? Better Gasoline Mileage?
Consumers Are Buying Bigger, More Expensive Vehicles
And the people who CAN afford to buy vehicles are buying larger "luxury" models, SUV's and trucks at a much higher rate then the so called "green" cars that Obama would like to see us driving.
I don't even know what you're talking about when you say a deal with Iran has brought down the price of oil...it's the ability of US producers to tap shale oil deposits in large quantities that prompted the Saudis to slash their prices...the Iranians had to follow suit. It's simple supply and demand at work. What did Barry have to do with ANY of that?
