God of the Gaps (well then, how did...")

Recall the topic here? God of the Gaps (an informal fallacy)
Can we stick to it? Leave those poor dingoes and coyotes alone over there?

Oh dear, kind of put your foot in your mouth again here. You should learn to use a search engine, its a good way of trapping bullshit statements before posting them and making yourself look like a dufus:

who's laughing now...
This is just you displaying your lack of education again.

Asking what "the common ancestor" of two species is is a nonsensical question.

A person with a basic grasp of evolutionary theory would understand that.

This leaves you out.

All species share many common ancestors.

Did you mean, the most recent common ancestor? After you look that up, come back and revise your error.

Really? well I asked Google and got an answer, do you dispute the answer?

Any common ancestor, I don't care, most recent is fine.

Haha, I don't care that you asked Google.

I asked Google how big unicorns are.

Lots of very detailed answers!

Oh, well that's simple. A prokaryote a couple billion years ago.

Now I have answered every question you will ever have about common ancestors between any two species.

I have saved you so much time!

People who understand evolution know that we cannot provide a single, correct answer to the following question:

"What species was the MRCA (most recent common ancestor) of Species C and Species Y?"

This would require both a complete fossil record (impossible) AND fully preserved DNA in every fossil (impossible).

We are on topic.

Sherlock is trying very hard to wedge magical fantasy into those very gaps.

Watch as he does so with the fossil record, now.
