GOP Big Government wants to probe women's Vagina

No contraception either and freaky creepy Santorum voted to penalize states where abortions were done.

Bottom line - No sex.

Did they stop making condoms and producing birth control while I was eating dinner a few minutes ago?
No, but those evil repubs are going to try and outlaw those, too!
Nah, you're not a Republican, nope!

I love rdean threads, he continually reminds me how totally screwed up you have to be to swallow the DNC talking points.

Nobody ultrasounds a vagina. That would be like ultrasounding your mouth. In order to examine a vagina, one only has to observe. Ultrasounds are done on deep internal organs.

The ultrasounds proposed in VA, are done on a fetus in the womb.

:cuckoo:

Dean read a headline "Ultrasounds in VA" and thought that VA mean vagina and not Virginia

That dip shit, rderp, can't even SPELL vagina.

How can he spell the name of something he's never seen? :dunno:

RICHMOND, Va. — House of Delegates Republicans have rejected a last-ditch bid by Democrats to allow women seeking abortions to opt out of an invasive ultrasonic procedure under anti-abortion legislation set for a final House vote Tuesday.

Legislation that has advanced on the strength of a GOP majority would force women to undergo a “transvaginal ultrasound” that produces fetal images.

And on a 63-36 vote, the House passed a bill that requires women to have a "transvaginal ultrasound" before undergoing abortions.

Republicans want big government to invade a woman's Va Jay Jay? Really?

Thas nasty.

So, you have a problem with "invasive" vaginal ultrasounds, but you obviously don't have a problem with "invasive" vaginal abortion procedures that result in removing and killing unborn babies.

Got it.

In one example, it is done by request of the woman.

In the other example, it's done against the woman's wishes.

So much for Rightwing respect for personal liberty and being able to decide on your own without government interference.

Wingnuts think an engine is a car.

If they can perform a noninvasive ultrasound, won't they do that still?

My thoughts, although I am just speculating, is that this would be required only for very early pregnancies.

From a pro abortion website:

RU486, Mifepristone: within 4 to 7 weeks after the last menstrual period (LMP); non-surgical
RU486, also known as the Abortion Pill of Medical Abortion, is used to end an early pregnancy. This procedure requires up to three office visits. During the first visit, three mifepristone tablets are administered to the woman. Two days later, two misoprostol tablets are administered. The combination of these two drugs causes the uterus to expel the fetus and blood. On day 14, a return to the provider’s office will confirm the pregnancy has ended.[return]
Link:
Abortion, ultrasound, morning after pill, RU486, risks, fetus, birth control, contraception, late term, choice

So I suppose, you could wait until your fetus is big enough to see on a regular ultrasound before aborting, although that seems selfish and ghoulish. Wouldn't most decent people just opt to get probed?

And I can't imagine that anyone forces someone's eyes open to look at the cell mass on some computer screen. If the probe ultrasound is needed, it is because it is early and not much is there.

Yes, ultrasounds do not have to be performed via the vagina. The vast majority of them are taken through the abdomen. It's hilarious to see the lefties blowing this issue way out of proportion.

As a conservative, I have a problem with Republicans making such a mandate.

I hear ya, and i do too. But i also have a problem with Socialist/Progressive Nanny Staters whining about this type of Nanny State action. They wanted their Nanny State/Police State. Well, here it is.

I'm not so sure for that 4 to 7 week span though. I suppose if a woman was opposed to the vaginal ultrasound, the alternative would be to incubate a while later and then abort. :eusa_sick:

Can you please provide a link to ANY story about a woman who was forced against her will to undergo an ultrasound as part of an abortion procedure?

That's like saying someone is forced to go through TSA screening, when they CHOSE to fly knowing the screening was part of the deal.

Republicans are saying they are fine with doing this to woman who wants a legal abortion. Just so we are all clear.

Deany? We aren't as stupid as you think we are. Obama was caught usurping the Constitution, and now with your help? He and the Statist Democrats are obfuscating that issue last week with women's health.

Nice try. WE aren't buying what your selling asswipe.:eusa_hand:

This is an "invasive" ultra sound up the Va Jay Jay. Totally not needed. It's part of the plan to demean women.

As my ob/gyn explained it to me...often abdominal ultrasounds are not as accurate in the first trimester. In that instance, vaginal ultrasounds are better suited to giving doctors are clearer picture of the development of the fetus.

I had a vaginal ultrasound with my son because I wasn't sure about when he was conceived. They started with the abdominal ultrasound but were unable to see him. The vaginal ultrasound was about as invasive as any trip to the ob/gyn for a vaginal exam. It was FAR less uncomfortable than a speculum.

Again...you are saying that because a woman going in for surgery might be made uncomfortable by a test the doctor shouldn't determine how developed the fetus is, if there are any other issues (cysts, two fetuses, etc.) before they begin the procedure???? Sorry...a doctor should be WELL-PREPARED for what they will encounter before they begin a procedure...and if there is a complication that can be determined before hand, the patient and doctor should know.

A vaginal ultrasound is no less invasive than an abortion. And all women have the RIGHT to all of the information before they agree to an invasive and potentially dangerous surgery.

rderp is afraid of vaginas.

only white ones.....
