Green New Deal

A sample of 900 is an indication of the entire nation?
Actually, the sample was 1,127. As you quoted in your post. And yes, that is a statistically significant sample and can give us a pretty good sense of public opinion, with an acceptable margin of error.

You're asking childish questions. If you know less than nothing about scientific polling or statistics (which you clearly do not), you should stop talking about them immediately and go read up. You are embarrassing yourself.

What strong public support? AOCs Green New Deal and you Warmers are the laughing stock of America.
Do you EVER get tired of embarrassing yourself? Literally every time I log into this site I catch you saying something stupid and false that you just pulled out of your ass.

More than 80% of Americans support almost all of the key ideas in Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Green New Deal

Gotta love polls.

Would you like to see a greener country?

Uhhhhh, yeah.

How about they ask honest questions for a change? Like, would you like to see a greener country if it cost us ten million jobs and you about an extra two grand a year? Then see what kind of answer you get.

Exactly. Because then the answer would be "uh, well, how much greener are we talking?"

So, in order to keep yourself in a constant state of agitation and to justify your own behavior to yourself, you just made up a poll question and tried to represent it as the content of the poll I posted.

Good for you. I'm sure the rubes will eat it up....like, in the post right after yours...

How is it different? After all, nobody on the left ever talks about the cost of all this GREEN nonsense. It's intrinsic in all the products we buy so people don't realize it's there.

I work for a small family trucking company. The transportation industry has been whacked with all kinds of additional costs for making the country greener. And what do we have to show for it?

It started during the Bush years and went right on through Obama. So how does my employer pay these tens of thousands of dollars in new costs? He increased our prices which our customers have to pay; customers who make the products you and I buy in the store every time we shop.

Therefore every single item we purchase today has some kind of green cost because all products are delivered through trucking. That's in addition to the costs manufacturers have to pass on for their contributions.

Point is that the only reason these polls show this kind of tilted support is because they don't present the actual picture. If we all knew what we are paying for all this green, it wouldn't have nearly the support it does.

/——/ It’s a bogus poll. They only found 900 who agreed. They didn’t reveal the questions either.

Yea...let's avoid gaining control of this emerging technology and all the jobs that would mean.

Let's ignore the fact that only have a VERY short time to do anything about Climate Change before our efforts are in vain (because we wasted 15 years fighting a POLITICAL battle with Deniers).

Let's ignore the fact that Climate Change will not only cost TRILLIONS down the road but that it will destabilize the friggin planet as droughts, famine, and flooded cities raise their ugly heads..

/----/ You jokers have been preaching gloom and doom for 40 years and none of your dire predictions have come true. That's why you keep moving the goal posts.

Yea...let's keep letting Deniers drag OUR feet until we really CAN'T do anything about this very real problem

And then there's this

America spends over $20bn per year on fossil fuel subsidies. Abolish them | Dana Nuccitelli

We subsidize the coal industry. In fact state legislatures are passing laws to help unprofitable coal mines and plants keep running when market forces would have caused them to close

So...there's that

/—-/ You Warmers are like the clowns who scam people with the “IRS is suing you” fraud.

So you have no defense and the "socialism" described above (for coal companies) is fine with you

Oh...
