All people arrested for a violent crime ,from purse snatch to mugging to murder should be remanded till trial. Found guilty ,they should do at least 10 years HARD labor ,solitary ,and no visits.

My point is people who should not have guns are those commiting crimes with guns.
There is no way of keeping guns out of the hands of everyone who should not have a gun but we need more regulation on who can have guns and requirements for those who own a gun.
Besides criminals, people who are clueless on owning, handling and storing guns result in many accidental shootings.
