Walz has faced such attacks before, including in his re-election campaign in 2022, when his GOP opponent questioned his decision to leave the service in 2005. Walz’s campaign responded with a letter signed by 50 veterans praising his record and leadership.
If such a letter does in fact exist, Linkie? How many of those 50 were current members of the Nat'l Guard? You do realize that the governor of a state is the CinC of the state's guard don't you? How many of them would commit career suicide by disagreeing with the CinC? Critical thinking isn't something you excel at.

Do you have a link to the alleged letter?

What guys in his unit?

You mean the guy that sent a paid letter to a new org?

Mr. Vance based his accusations on a Facebook post from 2018, and a paid letter to the editor to The West Central Tribune that same year in which the writers, Thomas Behrends and Paul Herr, both retired command sergeant majors in the Minnesota National Guard, accused Mr. Walz of “conveniently retiring a year before his battalion was deployed to Iraq.”

The criticisms were first leveled by Mr. Behrends and Mr. Herr during Mr. Walz’s first campaign for governor.

what about this fact:

Walz counters that his life has been devoted to public service, including the military.

"We all do what we can. I'm proud I did 24 years," Walz said. "I have an honorable record."

Candidates in Minnesota and across the country for years have faced questions about their military service. Former Gov. Jesse Ventura weathered scrutiny about his time as a Navy SEAL, military service that became a major theme in the former professional wrestler's longshot bid for governor.

Joseph Eustice, a 32-year veteran of the guard who led the same battalion as Walz, said the governor fulfilled his duty.

"He was a great soldier," Eustice said. "When he chose to leave, he had every right to leave."

Eustice said claims to the contrary are ill-informed and possibly sour grapes by a soldier who was passed over for the promotion to command sergeant major that went to Walz.

That man, Thomas Behrends, was among those standing with Jensen to criticize the governor. Jensen and Behrends, a longtime critic of the governor, argue that Walz bailed on his troops when the going was about to get tough.

Nice distraction. Now where is the letter signed by the 50 veterans? Who were these vets--members of the NG that as governor, Walz was in command of? Answer the question posed and quit dancing around it. You sound like Heels Up -- the passage of time is significant because of the significance of the passage of time as it passes. LMAO.

Did Eustice sign your letter?

If so who are the other 49?
