Well not really, if you can pay the freight for a transferrable older M4 (about 60K - 80K) then all you have to do is fill out a paperwork packet and jump through some hoops, pay Uncle Sugar $200, and wait 6-8 months for your tax stamp to come back, then go and pick it up.....Easy peasy.....Well sorta once you have done the tax stamp dance a few times.

That's true but if they were giving them away I'd not care as I figure we would have bigger fish to fry and the .gov was desperate given how they currently worry themselves to death about a barrel that might be .25" shorter than they say it can be.

Hell, the .gov would have already sent the ATF to man the barricades and I don't think some ATF slag is going to worry about a "happy switch" by then or at least have the good sense to STFU about it.

Actually, kind of stupid, as Zelensky failed to activate his reserves when the Russians were building up.

The Russians haven't even committed that many forces to the invasion- yet.

if you have an NFA trust it really is simple. Without that, there are a few more hoops to jump through.
