House Democrats plan to push for $15 federal minimum wage

Listen pal you keep saying that it didn't..

Now who is lying?

And you're claiming that unemployment went up because of it (when we were in the middle of the Great Recession)..which is clearly a lie.

In 1968 the minimum wage was $1.60. Adjusted for inflation that is equal to just short of $12/hr.

US Inflation Calculator

It is currently 7.25 and has been since 2009

Sounds like it may be time to learn a fricken skill.
We have a first world economy. Cheap labor is Not an Option.

Yeah, with you, any labor is not an option.

His weed isn't gonna smoke itself.

House Democrats plan to push for $15 federal minimum wage

If you work full-time, you should be able to support your family. its called the American dream!

If you're working full time, at a job you don't make $15 an hour or more...

you need to get a new job, or more education.

If you're working full time at McDonalds, dont' expect me to support your family.

If someone with such a low skill set has to rely on any level of government to force an employer to pay them a minimum, the problem is with the one offering the skills not the one paying, in many cases, a mandated higher amount than those skills are worth.

Fine, as long as there is no more WELFARE given out. If people now have a livable wage, they dont need fucking welfare...

The War on Poverty has cost $22 trillion -- three times more than what the government has spent on all wars in American history. Federal and state governments spend $1 trillion in taxpayer dollars on America's 80 means-tested welfare programs annually.

Look what happened in Seattle a few years ago. Demands for an increased minimum wage increase were met then employees began requesting less hours because social welfare benefits were being reduced.

Capitalism has a natural rate of inefficiency that way.

Seattle's economy is driven by a mix of older industrial companies, and "new economy" Internet and technology companies, service, design, and clean technology companies. The city's gross metropolitan product (GMP) was $231 billion in 2010, making it the 11th largest metropolitan economy in the United States.--https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seattle#Economy

It's not capitalism that is the problem. It's the lazy POS that want the same end result without having to work for it. Seems it was a lie that people wanted a higher wage in order to support themselves. What they wanted was less hours worked and more freebies.

You simply don't understand the concept. Capital must circulate under capitalism to provide that capital efficiency to our First World economy.

Why be envious of the Poor who may choose to not work, if You don't Have to be Poor if you are willing to work?

Yes, and if you choose to not work, you deal with the consequences. Don't expect others to support you if you're not willing to do it yourself....dumbass.

The poor who refuse to work should starve before those that are honorable and work are forced to support them.

Why be illegal to a federal doctrine and State laws concerning the concept of employment at will. Only, illegals, do that.

Those that choose not to work should not benefit from those that do. I have no problem with someone unwilling to do for themselves going without.

Nothing illegal about allowing those that refuse to help themselves going without until it hurts.
