House Dems on GOP's thin majority: "Welcome to hell" After 2 years of late-night phone calls & painful negotiations, now it's the GOP's turn to rumble

The Federal Government is a creature of We the People
A Government of the People, by the People and FOR the People
The Federal Government is a creature of the States. It works for the STATES. Its sole purpose is to be the representative of "We the People" to the world.

It has no authority to make individual lives better.

So, they havn't made any indication in the past, right now, or in the future that they would compromise or work with Republicans on immigration. Open borders is a nonstarter for 80% of the country.

Of course they have
Dems worked with Republicans on Infrastructure, Semiconductors, Gun legislation

Nope
We the People created the Federal Government, not the states

They do things for the General Welfare of the people not the General Welfare of the states

You mean they have no intention of doing anything to help Americans suffering from high inflation, record gas prices and a border crisis?
They only intend to block Biden from doing anything about it?
No kidding, so you agree that prices being "transitory", gas prices coming down, and no crisis at the border was all BS....what a shock.

GOP should focus on changing the country, not governing the country

less reconciliation, more fire & brimstone. stir the pot, create headlines, take the fight right to liberals!

No, we did not. The Federal government was created by the States. The President is elected by the States. We the people, have a representative body in the Federal government, and States have a representative body in the Federal government.

It was evidently BS from Republicans who ran on it but had no intention of doing anything about it

They did no such thing but it is a moot point.

When the GOP starts passing legislation, we'll see how willing the Democrats are in working with them in, 'governing'.

How many times we will keep going through this? If pseudo Repubs are not aware of their anti-voter's attitude, then they are constantly using alcohol and drugs to numb their betrayals unless they are numb to everything.

Those three would not have passed without bipartisan support
Next up, Same Sex Marriage

Now, Republicans control the House
What are they going to do for We the People?

Dems worked with Republicans to pass legislation.
Why won’t Republicans?

So which republicans ran on inflation was transitory and there was no crisis at the border?

Exactly

They ran on doing something about theses crisis that they ranted about daily

They have no intention of doing anything about it

BIDEN (and his party) CAUSED ALL OF THOSE THINGS. ALL HE DOES IS MAKE THEM WORSE. ALL HE WANTS TO DO IS MAKE THEM WORSE.

SO YEAH. Blocking him IS doing the best thing possible about it.

Dumbass.

I've had it up to hear with this talk about the Republicans "thin" majority in the house. The Democrats had NO majority in the Senate for the last two years, and nobody described it as anything other than a CONTROLLING majority, which is was, except for the occasional Manchin hiccup.

It is yet to be seen whether the few RINO turncoats in the House will be sufficient to impair the agenda. Probably not.

WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING?

Pelosi was able to take that thin majority and pass significant legislation. So was Schumer

McCarthy is unable to control his caucus and has no desire to pass any legislation
To watch him on talk shows as his only agenda is petty revenge and partisan investigations is pathetic

I must have missed that part of the US Constitution that says the Feral government can regulate marriage?
Wouldn't the USSC shoot that same sex law down as unconstitutional and say it is a state responsibility?

Why don't they work on fixing SS & Medicare?
Medicare is bankrupt in 2024.

So which republicans ran on inflation was transitory and there was no crisis at the border?
Which Democrats agreed and vowed to work with the GOP on securing the border and curbing federal spending to lower inflation?

The GOP has 1/3 of the control of the government.

That means if the Dems don't want to help the GOP, then they don't want to govern.

See how this goes?
