How can we blame the GOP for any of this?

The GOP won the House because of gerrymandered districts. Democratic candidates received more votes countrywide than Republican candidates in 2012 House races. So again, a minority is holding the country hostage.

Lesson shall begin now
the reason we have the house of rep is that NY city
LA
Austin Texas
South Florida (about 7% of the state by land mass voted for BHO in 2010)
The voting masses have say
our fore fathers knew that one city in an entire state could cancle out the rest as the case in BHO being elected (see Florida, Penn, Virgina)
this is why it is called the house of rep

Now explain to me this gerry mandering?
how didthis start?
you want to explain to us how this changed over 60 seats in 2010 when the GOP had no power?
when did this big event take place

Shhh....libs don't like to talk about 2010. Bringing up the fact they got thrown out of office for passing ACA is a no-no. :eusa_shhh:

And you silly asses are scared to death that now your continual lies have been exposed, and people are signing up for ACA coverage faster than the computers can keep up, that come 2014, your Teabaggers are going to get the woodshedding they deserve.

The GOP has had no power in congress sense 2006
had no power period sense 2008
this 2013, going on 2014

How do we keep blaming the GOP for this?
This is nuts
No matter what my beliefs are
this is nuts

Dude, you have been educated on this topic so many times. Don't you worry about your cognitive (look it up) abilities? I do. You seem dumber than a box of Teabaggers.

But I am sure some of the good natured folks on here will educate you again. And you will ignore what they are trying to tell you and you will post up another ignorant thread about how can the majority party in the House of Reps can shut down the government. And be blamed for it. Good God,

Take a civics class already.

The House passed a bill. The senate didn't and Obama threatened a veto even if the senate did. So who actually shut down government?

Hey, must be civics instructor. Did the House pass a clean CR (one with no other topics to discuss and vote on) Did they or didn't they? Easy question.

And what part of "no negotiating" does the Tea party not understand?

It would benefit you to take a course in Civics; your premise that the GOP has no power is not only wrong but ridiculous. In fact Boehner has absolute power as is evident to anyone who has taken and passed the above noted course to end the current fiasco.

This would be true if you ignore that the senate could pass the house bill and Obama could sign it ending the (so-called) shutdown.

How are bills usually passed? Via conference committee & compromise. The process has been sullied by radical Republicans who can't seem to understand a capitulation to their demand that the President delay a law by the President sets a dangerous precedent.

The dems refuse to comprimise. Has Obama or any dem offered to create a committee to discusss possible changes to ACA? And if you are upset that republicans are trying to scrap ACA are you upset with Obama for refusing the enforse all the rules?

You are correct. How would the Repubs react if the Dems decided to shut the government down and default on our debt IF Dems decided that they wanted a gun back ground check for everyone buying a gun. Held the economy hostage till they got that back ground check.

What wouid the Repubs do then? Congratulate the Dems on a brilliant political strategy?
LMAO.

Because according to the Obama knob slobberers, the Tea Party/GOP only represent a tiny minority, yet somehow managed to win the majority of the House (again).

This segment of the population must be ignored and the progressive agenda advanced, even if half the country opposes it.

The knob slobberers resort to quoting polls, since they can't acknowledge Republicans hold over half the House and nearly half of the Senate. They just think "Obama won!" so that means King Hussein should be able to rule unchecked.

Unfortunately for the Obama knob slobberers, there is a system of checks and balances built into the Constitution. The Dems who past ACA knew the public would oppose it (they lost the election immediately after), but did it anyway knowing the American people would oppose it (enter the GOP/Tea Party). They can't admit they fucked up when they passed it without any input from Americans, now they are demanding we borrow another trillion dollars to fund it no questions asked.

LOL, gerrymandering. Right, only Repubs do that, Dems don't do it in areas they control.

Dems got more of the popular vote because of the urban areas where blacks voted (D)-bag in the 95% range.

Detroit
Phillly
NY
South Florida
North VA
Austin Texas
Raligh/Durham/cary NC
LA
Hell there is I bet 10-20% of BHO votes right there

Democratic House candidates winning the popular vote, despite big GOP majority
Our fore fathers were brilliant

Why does the house need to? They passed a bill that would fund government. The Senate and Obama are the one stopping thing. How about just going along with the House and then negotiating?
The House fully understand what "No negotiating" means. It means Obama thinkks he is a dictator.

The press not once has pointed out that the Dems hold 67% of that part of the govt

back ground check is not a trillion(s) dollar train wreck

The media controls who gets the blame.

Too true.
Of course Reid better be careful. He has already showed that dems don't care about cancer patients. Including a 3 year old baby. And libs claim repubs are heartless.

Are you aware that if the clean CR were put to a full House vote it would pass? Where is the "compromise" in not allowing a full vote?

That isn't a compromise. Harry Reid isn't allowing any votes unless he gets everything he wants. That's the way it's been for years. He hasn't allowed any votes unless it's his stuff.

Really? Why don't you elaborate on how you see that as "apples and oranges". What is the big difference.

And as to whether the House sent a clean CR to the Senate. They didn't. And if they wanted to keep the government open, that's all they had to do. A clean CR. But that's not what they did. Their idea has backfired and there will be a price to be paid for the Tea baggers stupidity.

The difference being the bills Harry Reid deny wouldn't pass the Senate anyway.

Above are another group of lies and talking points posted ad nausea by right wing parrots; it will be posted over and over 'cause the echo chamber has less brain power than an average Boarder Collie.

You are a true lib
you explain nothing
you live in a world of hate because people tell you too
you have no idea why
what a mess the tea party is huh?
people who believe in smaller govt
the constitution
free market
1st amendment rights
what evil people

Example of a Tea Party Member of the H. of Rep.

GOP Rep. Todd Rokita tells CNN anchor Carol Costello: 'You're beautiful, but you have to be honest'

BTW, my border collie communicates much better than you. I'm not kidding.

No they didn't, they passed a CR with demands to defund and delay the new health care laws. Democrats in the Senate have been more than willing to negotiate through the normal budget process. The GOP has blocked all efforts to form a conference committee to hash out the differences.

Doesn't matter. At least everyone would be on record.

That's how elections are decided. If you vote for or against an unpopular bill it's hard to claim you were against it when you voted for it.
