We elect the people who appoint them.

That doesn't change anything. They are still people in position to do unconstitutional things and never have any redress by the citizen. Even if you change the entire leadership, those judges still do whatever they want.

Bureaucrats are the same exact way. They do what they want when they want, and politicians use them to create laws against the will of the people without being held responsible for it. They just shrug their shoulders and say "I didn't have anything to do with it, the bureaucracy is at fault here!" Of course it's a load of bull.

Your greatest leader promised to trim the fat but he nearly tripled Carter's federal workforce to fight his war on drugs and beef up the Pentagon.
