Moving the goal posts, instead of apologizing for spreading misinformation, is the way honest people do it.
I did apologize. Whenever I do comparisons I try to be clear that they're first world comparisons and I spoke directly about Europe and Canada.
Also, any mention of countries in the Middle East around immigration comes with several caveats: The crisis in Syria displaced more than 6 million Syrians - the most number of refugees since WWII. ALL of the Arab countries in the Middle East were severely impacted by the effects of this mass migration, as were many countries in Europe. Million of Syrian refugees settled in the Middle East, and these countries, despite their small size, took them in.
Populations in the Middle East and Africa are always in motion due to drought, famine and endless wars. What Americans fail to understand is that the same thing is happening in Central America right now, and the US solution is to close the borders and seal them tight. The world doesn't work that way, and for the richest nation in the world to refuse to take in any refugees on account of the "costs" of helping people, makes you lot look selfish beyond measure.
You claim to be Christians, well damn well start acting like Christians. When the Muslim and 3rd world nations show more moral character and decency than the richest nation in the world, that should tell you just how the rest of us view what Trump did on the Southern Border.
